Stunning are the victories of the Lebanese Resistance over Israel and this because what happened in Lebanon in year 2000 and year 2006 is not just Resistance, it is victory over Israel. The first victory came in year 2000 when Israel decided to withdraw its defeated army from South Lebanon. The Israelis evacuated thus all the Lebanese occupied territories in 1982 which constitutes almost the third of Lebanese land, they were simply defeated after suffering enormous losses and being subject to infiltration and Intelligence work that exposed their systems and internal structures and short comings and made them a prey to the strikes of the Resistance.
The second victory was not less stunning , it happened in year 2006; Israel put all its strength in this war and was powerfully backed by the whole European and US establishment receiving daily supplies of ammunitions carried from US across Britain. The Gulf countries shared as well in the effort by pouring the sum of 9.4 billions in order to have the Resistance crushed . The Resistance was not crushed and Israel was defeated once again. This defeat was more spectacular than the first one, because the battles were intense and located, the Israelis invaded the villages with their tanks using intense shelling and were -after that-thrown out by the freedom fighters and their tanks destroyed.
These two victories were not celebrated -as such – by the Arab and Muslim world- which is a paradox in itself – since Israel had admitted of its defeats and recognized its failures. And while part of the Lebanese did not acknowledge such victory and while the Arab and world media kept it hidden, the majority of the Lebanese celebrated it, and more than a million gathered in August 2006 to greet the leader of the Resistance who had promised victory to all.
Greatly disturbed by this summer 2006 victory that denouced its military shortcomings, the world order sought other means than military to defeat the Resistance, among them, the STL of the International Court and the sectarian mobilisation against Shi’a, and the conspiracy against Iran and -recently- against Syria or the sanctions against both Syria and Iran. Great efforts were exerted -as well- in order to hide this victory that revealed the vulnerability of Israel and that of the whole western estsblishnent with its military power and advanced technology. From the beginning the Resistance had filmed and documented many of its operations

“part of the Lebanese did not acknowledge such victory ”
The March 14 civilized ones who shop in Paris and with whom Robert Fisk finds it easier to identify, not the uncouth ones in Southern Lebanon who never in their lives sipped a latte in a cafe on the Corniche
