To say I felt shaken and pretty distressed is the least of it.
After he recovered his belongings he notes: “I still have a pen missing.”
Precious.
Reminded me of the old Jewish joke (which shows quite a bit of self-awareness):
An old Jewish grandmother is walking on the beach in Florida with her little granddaughter when a huge wave hits them and takes the little girl away.
The grandmother falls to her knees and prays: “Please, g-d, don’t be cruel to this old woman. I love my little granddaughter more than life. Please, give her back to me.”
Another huge wave plops the little girl intact at her feet.
The woman looks up to the sky and points out: “She had a hat.”
I think he is probably one of those who was part of the counter-demonstrations to the BDS campaign against Ahava in Monmouth Street, which is where this photo was taken.
The counter-demos were organised by Jonathon Hoffman, co-vice-chair of the Zionist Federation, and therefore he probably isn’t in the “solidarity movement” at all.
Roy, you really must learn to never let truth get in the way of a good story.

“alone, victimised but somehow….special”
It sounds like the perpetual story of Richard Millett
