    The King has called for Assad to step down.

    ‘Listen to your people’ he tells Assad before going on to explain why he himself need not follow his own wise advice:

    “In a sense there is no ‘opposition’ in Bahrain, as the phrase implies one unified block with the same views. Such a phrase is not in our constitution, unlike say the United Kingdom. We only have people with different views and that’s ok.”

    In other unrelated (?) news, Haaretz reveals that the King boasted of his links with MOSSAD and that he had instructed his minions to stop referring to the Zionist entity as the Zionist entity.
