Israeli Generals expressed dismay yesterday over a violent assault on a senior Air Force officer perpetrated by a gang of soldiers.
Ynet reported yesterday that Maj. A., deputy commander of a squadron at the northern Ramat David Airbase was attacked near his home within the airbase.
An Israeli military source confirmed yesterday that three soldiers, who serve in a technical support unit, assaulted the officer over the weekend after he issued a complaint over their reckless driving on base premises, in violation of strict military regulations.
The three soldiers, apparently outraged by the pilot’s decision to lodge a complaint with their commanding officer, initially threatened to kill him at the presence of his children. They later attacked him outside his home, located on base, with wooden clubs until he nearly lost consciousness.
Ynet reported that Israeli army elite are in shock. “No one can believe that soldiers dared to strike a senior officer”
According to Global Times Senior IAF officers have previously complained about having to deal with soldiers from harsh socioeconomic backgrounds. “With all due respect to the notion of the people’s army, my feeling is that the balance has been violated.”
Earlier this week we learned about an Israeli who set himself on fire during Tel Aviv social protest. Israel, so it seems, is on the verge of disintegration. The images of social protests and violence towards top commanders within the military are clear signs of collapse of the Israeli national, cultural and ideological bond. It is not the Palestinians or the BDS who are going to bring down the Jewish State, it is actually the Israelis themselves. It is the supremacist and chauvinist ideology embedded within the Israeli philosophy and culture that make the Jewish State into an unbearable concept for its citizens let alone the indigenous people of the land i.e. the Palestinians.

But, do you remember saying this Cosmo on Eva’s article?
July 3, 2012 at 9:28 pm
That, in the idf “…there is fear of rank.”
Well it appears not any more. Do you personally know these heroes of israel’s “purity of arms”? Don’t try and brush it under the carpet, be honest and admit that a very high percentage of idf’ers are waking up to the fact they’ve been used all along and now have an ever increasing resentment towards the military prima donna’s.
Cosmo

That was a typing mistake, it was supposed to read there is no fear of rank. I was talking about the diffrenece between regular army and being in a reserves unit where you are with your unit for only a few weeks a year. commanders and their subordinates are friends unlike regular army where there is more fear of rank.
I don’t see the point of trying to find a greater meaning in an isolated hooligan attack. What is worth mentioning is the growing resentment about the inequality of the burden of going to the army. The talk about drafting Ultra-Orthodox or even Arabs.
I don’t know about waking up, I think 99% of soldiers have been complaining about being screwed over since 1948. Complaining about is just something every soldier does in every army. Did you used to the HBO show Band Of Brothers?
I think every soldier could relate to the parts they are complaining about being screwed over. I remember watching that with my father and both of us were saying the same thing how it is as if they took it out of our unit.
Frank Perconte: Hey Luz, how far are we going?
George Luz: Oh, Jesus, Frank, I don’t know. Until they tell us to stop.
Donald Hoobler: High ground. There’s high ground up ahead.
Frank Perconte: Okay, genius. Answer me this, then. How come Easy Company is the only company who’s either at the front of an advance, or, like now, exposed at the far edge of the line?
Donald Hoobler: To keep you on your toes.
Frank Perconte: No, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying, we’re never in the middle. And we’re the fifth of nine companies in this regiment. Able to Item. Think of it.

Yes, it works well. Despite having shot unarmed civilians dead so far no police have been found guilty of any crime.
The shooting of Mark Duggan who was unarmed (but not white) was what sparked the riots in the U.K. that Cosmo refers to. We are lagging a little behind the Israelis but we have been able to export police expertise in “how to deal with” civilian protests to Bahrain.

Luckily for the police we have been able to modify our justice system to make sure they won’t even be interviewed never mind charged. Shooting dead unarmed civilians is not a crime in N. London.
“Nine months into the investigation the Independent Police Complaints Commission has still not been able to interview the officers involved in the operation that led to the shooting. None of the 31 have agreed to talk to the IPCC over their role. Each officer has, apparently, given a statement but has declined to be interviewed by the very body charged with carrying out a full and robust investigation into their actions.
As a result, the IPCC this week called for the power to demand witness evidence from officers. Currently it can only demand that officers give an interview if they are suspected of having committed a crime.”

Barb I didn’t realise how bad it was, I now know better.
Only cops from armed response units are given immunity to being questioned about why they killed an unarmed civilian, but bobbies on the beat with batons although subject to questions and trial are still allowed to kill with impunity

that, indeed, is the most plausible reading of the karmic logic of the situation.
a major part of hasbara is dedicated to what might seem a relatively innocuous task: to maintain the image that Israel is a ‘Western‘ country.
the fact that ‘western’ is itself a vague concept, already used to saturation by ‘the West‘ itself for propaganda (mind-kontrol) purposes, makes the task easier.
a cattle ranch, a negro lynching, an apple pie, a smiling Mom in a stars and stripes dress, a senator kissing a baby, a statue of liberty setting up its own smalltown burger joint with a loan from a neighbour’s uncle, dimes and nickels falling from the sky…these, and many images equally familiar, help define the nation-meme of Dollypartonia – an idealised US of A – that is not so much a western country as a country and western.
this claim is proved by the existence of a well-known statute allowing all banjo players, wherever they may reside, the right of immigration to Dollypartonia. to qualify you need only own a banjo (in a case, with proof of purchase) and be able to present, on request, a certificate, signed by two qualified medical practitioners, attensting that you have strangled your own grandmother, or performed some similar act of mercy for the elderly. note this is only the legal definition of banjo player for immigration purposes.
NB according to the Banjomud, a collection of ancient writings (which all banjo players take to be the literal word of Almighty G_d) a child under the age of eleven days and three years is a banjo player if his mother can play the instrument. otherwise the infant is unclean, and shall be thrown off a cliff into the ocean.
players of any other instrument, especially saxophones, will find it hard even to get a visa, let alone the right to settle.
the dark secret – that Dollypartonia is an extremely saxophonophobic country is kept well hidden by the MSM.
but, lovely as is the sound of a banjo even to the most untutored of musical ears, the least prejudiced historians aver that almost all of its most illustrious exponents throughout its long judaeo-amerafrican history, only really adhered to the instrument during a short poverty-stricken phase of their existence, usually at the beginning of their careers.
Ludwig van Beethoven (Dutch composer and racial theorist), for example, ordered his agent Steufel to destroy all his early banjo concertos, and other compositions for the plucky little instrument – though in later life, and especially as he went deaf, Ludwig, whilst visiting his hunting-lodge retreat, would occasionally take down his old Moroccan banjo in the dulcet glow of a black forest late evening, after a few glasses of Rheinwein…
another famous banjoist, Jorgé Ferimbi, is indelibly associated with the instrument through the ten years he spent as a film actor. however his later work as a classical composer is utterly disregarded, with the appalling result that his symphonic masterpiece: I’m cleaning Mrs Wu’s windows, phew!!!… has not had even a single play on radio 3. this of course comes as no surprise to anyone familiar with the anti-banjoist clique which has a stranglehold on the content of the BBC.
digressions aside, what is going to happen eventually in a country consisting almost entirely of professional banjo payers?
BBC3 Beethoven’s Spring Sonatafor violin and piano, arranged for banjo by H.Kissinger, played today by members of the Blair Quartet:
Treble Banjo – Barrack Obama
Tenor Banjo – Benjamin Netanyahu

didn’t see the recent posts whilst writing, mine but
Laura yes. in fact one of the ways to make it easier to maintain the fiction that Israel is like the West, is to use as much influence as possible to steer paradigmatic ‘Western’ nations in the direction you estimate as the most likely future of Israel. e.g. hated by most of the rest of the world.
Cosmos’s remark is interesting. i hadn’t previously thought of the recent riots in the UK as a rogue Mossad/MI6/CIA Psy-op. but now he has put the idea in mny head, it might be worth running with for a couple of miles…just for the mental exercise of course. i wouldn’t want anyone to think me a conspiracy nut, just because of my paranoid view of 9/11 and 7/7.

well, “the disintegration of the jewish state” might have begun, wishful thinking or not, but the disintegration of all the gentile societies, states included, began much, much earlier and is now nearly completed. so by comparison who is winning and who is losing? especially if you think that such representatives of the gentile(palestinian) intellectual elite like khalid amayreh(writing here in delib) openly declare they “would prefer to live under the israeli(jewish) occupation”.
that is to say that to such point find they no place for themselves in a gentile society, just think about it

Agreed, projection by proxy with the prepared speilberg dialogue. I think it was an attempt at appearing like “just one of the guys” “just your average, normal military dude at home, chillin’ with his military dad”. A distraction technique to move the focus away from the “Disintegration” issue. You can sense him trying to reach out and appeal to the “buddy love” he imagines waits for him if only he was given a chance to be understood.
