depends on the gay person. i notice that in liberal circles, gays/lesbians tend to be more islamophobic and use repressive actions by some muslim countries and some muslims to paint muslims as backward and “other”. this sort of “us vs them” attitude is actively promoted by liberal zionists. the fact there are a lot of gay jewish people doesn’t help. it goes kind of like this:

we are liberal because we promote equality for gays, or are gay

we are zionist

israel is a liberal democracy where homophobia doesn’t exist

muslim nations persecute gays

muslim people have backward ideas of gender and sexuality
