a person reading this piece is intended to identify with ka’s suffering at the hands of the israelis. they will believe he is “one of them” when he talks about israeli atrocities, territorial expansion and aggressive war making. when he then supports that israeli aggressive war making, as he does with regard to syria, his audience is supposed to think he is still “one of them” and this war is a good one for the audience. his “credibility” established as “one of the audience” is intended to sway that audience that his support of israeli war making and terrorism is benificial for muslims and is by muslims. he is their to make israeli aggression look like muslim democracy building.

the best propagandists will use mostly “truths” that will connect with their assigned audiences. they will reinforce that audience’s views about most subject matter. sympathy is also a good manipulative device. it’s difficult to be objective when confronted with a person’s personal suffering. this establishes the propagandist as “one of the audience” in their minds and prepares that audience for the propagandist’s real agenda, which is then slipped in to the narative and is now disguised as part of that narative the audience identifies with.
