i stopped the video after sayan blumenthal gave the standard zionazi lies about houla massacre. it doesn’t surprise me that trnn is supporting the zionazi terrorist war against the people of syria, they are a zionazi front site to sucker progressives into supporting zionazi terrorism.

I have read the long letter Max wrote explaining what has happened that caused him to leave the Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar . All i can say about this long artcle is that it is not an acurate one for the reason that one cannot speak extensively about the Syrian events or his experience with a Lebanese local News paper whose policy he rejects without even mentioning the major event that marked the Actual Arab and Lebanese history and which is the victory of Hizbullah over Israel consecutively in 2000 and 2006 and the liberation of south Lebanon after 18 years of Israeli occupation.

For this reason this article cannot be taken seriously since this presumed pro Palestinian writer does not take into account the defeat of Israel at the hands of Hizbullah jumping over this major event to take us back to the seventies , to the Lebanese civil war when Hizbullah did not even exist and when Bashshar al Assad was not even born maybe . Things have definitely changed since then and I consider this frankly dishonest and manipulative on behalf of the writer of this article.

I will not dwell on who the Syrian opposition -now active on the ground- is for i have seen this with my own eyes and i will not reject what i have witnessed for the speculations of someone who is definitely somewhere else . My advice to the writer is that he honestly updates his information and gives its due importance to this capital event -which is the defeat of Israel-that happened recently and changed the course of history and triggered whatever is happening now on the ground in the whole Arab world overlooking which he committed a historical mistake .

My second advice is that the writer gets inspiration from the genuine Syrian opposition that he seems to respect and hold in esteem- like dissident Michel Kilo- who has decided for the tme being to take a neutral stand regarding what is happening and not to get mixed in the active armed rebellion that has assumed the role of opposition but is sectarian and trained by the CIA in Turkey and financed by the corrupt Arab Gulf regimes calling for NATO interference in Syria. Mr. Kilo had been very wise in separating himself from such opposition i suggest that our writer adopts the same wise attitude .

These are definitely not time for changes wanted and imposed by foreign agendas to dispel energies and dissipate attentions and divide and conquer , these are times to converge towards common goals and common enemies . When your child falls in the well , you don’t go and clean the house, you remove your child from the well . Syria and Bashshar al Assad have a great share and contribution in these victories that liberated the land . Assad is an asset to the resistance and for this reason they want to remove him -and not because he is a tyrant and this is-by the way- what is keeping Assad in place .

It is naïve and credulous to think that the world order wants to help people get rid of a tyrant , Tyrants are OK as long as they serve them .We should work hand in hand with the victorious Resistance and all people who have this priority of supporting the Resistance are welcome , those who have other priorities are not welcome .Some people want to act and speculate as if Israel was not defeated and as if the Resistance was not victorious and as if Lebanon was not liberated after 18 years of occupation . Only God knows whom these people are serving . They are not serving Palestine and Palestinians for sure and the speculations of an outdated leftist who lacks honesty and transparency are not helpful in this matter. You cannot act as if the Lebanese Resistance did not exist when you speak about Lebanon .

Then he convinces us of his objectivity in discussing Syria, pointing out that he has often criticized Israel (he mentions Gaza too, good point, Mr Murrow) and has a pro-Palestinian position.
Don’t blame him for this zionist point of view, he can’t help it: “Palestinians, Syrians, they’re all Arabs, see, so if I was nice to one bunch of them I can be trusted to be fair with another, can’t I?”

I found one commonality: every time they are faced with a position of NON-INTERVENTION BY OUTSIDE MILITARY FORCES both he and Laura hasten to characterize it as “pro-Assad” and the people who make the point as “Assad apologists,” and start enumerating Assad’s crimes.

This interviewer actually asked him what he has to say to people who do not support Assad but are against arming the rebels and military intervention. He said he’ll “come back to that” but first let him tell us more about Assad…. he never came back to “that.”

Laura, who at the top of the article characterized him as “a supporter of the Talmudic concept of Herem otherwise known as the Boycott and Divestment movement,” apparently warmed up considerably to him due to the opinions he expressed in this video because at the end she wonders with regret:
” The question is why would someone who is obviously intelligent and has valid opinions decide it is appropriate to censor his own right to free speech?”

Since when is resigning from a publication with which you are frustrated (by not being able to control its opinion section) equal with renouncing your right to free speech and self-censoring?!?
Is the video incomplete? Did he say later on in the interview that he is taking a vow of silence and swears to never write/speak again? Show us the rest of the video then, Laura.
