The Marikana settlement may come to be seen as the beginning of the shrugging off of sold-our bureacrats - however South Africa has had a thriving informal economy for decades - clearly there can be no so-called free market when the wealth and resources are concentrated in the hands of a few individuals and a bunch of multinationals.

Is it 'rightist thinking' to pretend that there is wealth hidden under trees, and that hard working South Africans are too lazy to get off their arses and pick it up?

"a leftist view of life."

Explain life seen from the left, please.

"the regular electorate of South Africa are waking up to the embracement of personal freedom and personal responsibility in choosing and achieving one’s personal destiny. Which is a mindset necessary for a whole society to develop an authentic free enterprise, secular, democracy."

Is that how it works in Israel, for example?

Here again we have a major misinterpretation of a world event, because the author is obviously coming from a leftist view of life. I agree the Marikana strike deaths were abhorrent. But that the miners then used those deaths to form a cooperative, and then on their own obtained an agreement with the mine owners, which was superior to any agreement obtained by any union in recent history, is an inspiring sign that the regular electorate of South Africa are waking up to the embracement of personal freedom and personal responsibility in choosing and achieving one's personal destiny. Which is a mindset necessary for a whole society to develop an authentic free enterprise, secular, democracy. Nowhere in history has any population made strides toward more optimal living without lots deaths and destruction. I point you to the American Civil War. It is the essence of the saying "phoenix rising from the ashes".

I predict this strike will latter in history be seen as the birth of a major new increase in South African citizen freedom.

one should realise that fascists don't surrender power. a peaceful transition from fascism to normality can not occur. whenever such is stated, and becomes the majority line, it is certain that there was no exchange of fascist power for that of decency, but instead, a switcharoo of the frontbois representing fascist power.

there is only one way to remove fascists from power. scare the turds enough they run away to some other fascist hellhole. or kill them.
