Great song. Over the next week or so it should automatically start playing every time we click on a title–to remind us that bills need to be paid and this site doesn’t take adverts.

Good news we are back on track and we can buy some more hosting time.

But the need remains so… put on that song back that fool me once provided 🙂

I hate adverts. If this site was to sign up to google adverts all the adverts would be for adverts to holiday in Israel. It would not be good.

I suppose if we wrote our own captions on them they wouldn’t pay, would they…. 🙂

I disagree. I thinks it’s a laugh to see ads for Israel with the logo “Protect peace in the middle east – show your support for Israel” on anti-Zionist sites, because Google finds the word ‘Israel’. A Palestinian site had ‘Find Jewish Singles’. I always click them, because the sites gets money.

and you used to buy Playboy just for the articles too? 🙂

This is a great site with great contributors and participants. Excellent topics and controversial commentary. Keep up the great work.

    You are kidding aren’t you?

I don’t know what kind of hosting set up you have, but hosting can be found for maybe $100 a year all over the place.

That is like four meals at an adequate restaurant.

So just go on a diet 4 times, skip those restaurant meals, and you have your hosting costs.

My guess would be that you were a difficult child. “What do you mean you don’t have money for candy, Mom? You shouldn’t have bought parsnips.”
      But may be I’m wrong.
Maybe you feel you are a share holder (how many shares did you buy?) and have a right to demand a financial report.
My view is donate or don’t donate but don’t carp. It’s unseemly.
      But maybe I am wrong.

Well we have a higher quality set-up. We had a cheap setup but had to move due to attacks and web scraping (mentioning no names) which were causing deLiberation site to crash or freeze.

Our new host has had no such issues and full root access. Restaurant… i can not remember the last time I was in Restaurant.

    What is “web scraping” ?

  9. Jonathon Blakeley June 20, 2012 at 7:07 pm #

That is where another site uses software to scrape content automatically into posts on their web site. Really its just stealing, plain and simple and I think it stinks.
