Newscasters Hype and Favoritism

Newscasters in America are hype and favoritism.    They like to persuade by the way they emphasize the words they say on topics they report.  This should not be allowed and is rude and unprofessional.  They should report the news in a monotone speech and not try to express their opinion by the way talk.  Sometimes they’ll say a word louder or hold a word longer to get their way.  Also facial features.  They should keep a strait face for the same reasons.  The hype they talk induces fear.

Also newscasters are very shallow.  Did you know they have a sight on the twenty sexiest newscasters.  They think the news should be reported by a pretty lady so it will bring more viewers.  The news isn’t gonna change.  They like that slutty style with the way the women talk and facial looks.  I’m sure you’ve seen it.  It’s not just in America.

Newscasters

Newscasters in America are a big problem.  People need to hear the news without getting manipulated as they watch and get left upset and pumped up while your left with a smiling face.  All this and you still don’t get the important facts that need to be said.

This really needs to be stopped especially in America.  There’s a lot of hype from a lot of different sources, but this is the news and needs a level of respect, at least to the people.

very true Ethan. of course the MSM news is a very bad joke. but it is pernicious. it misinforms whilst pretending to inform. it encourages people to think they are listening, when in fact they do not hear.

in Britain we had the male+female team introduced to add a hint of implied sex. funny when the chemistry is wrong. i haven’t had a TV for years so only see it occasionally at friends’ houses – i think, despite the amazing possibilities of the medium, that it is the single greatest obstacle to human development.

i still have a radio which i occasionally sample when in the kitchen. i generally keep it tuned to BBC radio 4, since that is the etablishment flagship, and i am rapidly becoming allergic to that, sometimes i don’t switch it on for days on end as it makes me feel angry or sick. but i’ve noticed an increasing tendency to have people using ridiculous over-emphasis on words,as you have pointed out.

on a bad day i think the whole bunch should be rounded up and have “I tell lies for money” tattooed on their foreheads. they are vermin.

I too don’t watch T.V. Only with my dad sometimes to hang out with him.

Ethan, since you are a younger person, may i ask your opinion on the use of computer games to program today’s bright kids with a false world-view?
