‘Never Again’ is an Empty Slogan

The United States must resolve that ‘never again’ is not just an ‘empty slogan’, said U.S. President Barack Obama on Thursday, in a statement marking Holocaust Remembrance Day. Yet, I am left bewildered, what does president Obama refers to? Is  ‘never again’ a universal message pointing at genocides in general or did he refer to Jewish suffering only? With  1,455,590 dead Iraqis due to an Anglo American criminal war, it seems as if the USA is actually complicit in an actual genocide.

Obama’s comments followed Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s Holocaust Memorial Day address at Yad Vashem where he stated that Israel’s “enemies tried to bury the Jewish future but our future was born again in the land of our forefathers, here we built a base, and a new beginning of freedom, and hope and action.”

Netanyahu, as usual, was almost correct. The ‘Jewish future’ was indeed born again after the holocaust just to introduce total misery, racism, expansionism, oppression, death and carnage to the entire Middle East. The so-called ‘Jewish State’ has managed, in just a few decades, to locate itself as the primary threat to world peace.  With the Jewish State and its lobbies pushing for a war against Iran, there is little room for doubt- Israel is driven by a suicidal inclination in the spirit of Biblical Samson. Yet, being a nuclear super power, Israel’s potential self-inflicted tragedy may as well put an end to the world, as we know it.

In Yad Vashem, the Israeli PM, once again explored the most banal pre-traumatic stress symptoms. He went on to say that today’s generation “faces calls to exterminate the Jewish State,” and that lessons of the past must not be forgotten. Netanyahu obviously focused on Iran, calling it an existential threat to Israel, and to world peace. He added, “It is the world’s responsibility to stop Iran securing nuclear weapons.”

PM Netanyahu is obviously wrong.  It is actually obvious that nuclear Iran could only save Israel from itself.  It would restrain the Jewish State and stop it from exploring its lethal inclinations.

If Obama is sincere, if ‘never again’ isn’t just an ‘empty slogan’ as he says, he better go out of his way to restrain Israel’s genocidal inclinations and its belligerent pro-war Lobbies around the world.

    This goes beyond Jewish ideology, unless you are saying that Jewish ideology is the ideology of the ruling class as a whole.

    For the western ruling class, the Holocaust has become the excuse for every holocaust, i.e. every new war that they want to fight.

    And people who don’t understand why have not learned from history.

    (There is only one lesson from history: if you don’t stop Hitler (at the cost of 60 million lives) then something bad will happen.)

      Indeed, the H religion is now a Western universal religion, this is why it is so dangerous and must be tackled from a moral and ethical perspective..

    Jewish people have a lot of good psychologists and psychiatrists.
    Why any of them is not tempted to analyse the Israeli State and their politics in terms of a massive psychiatric abnormality, and publish it as a book?
    I think it would be quite a bestseller.
    I see so many mental disfunctions that are exibited there, not only collectively in this nation/ethnic group, by also individually by their so -called leaders. and theirs willing helpers.
    It is clear , sheer, hypocritical Madness.
    They pull the whole word to the cliff, and majority of the corrupted, sleazy, cowardly western leaders go along with it.
    We ,as a humanity ,are sold to the Evil Powers who rule us.
    Actually ,we let them grow in such a power.
    Our cowardace, indifference, impotency, ignorance, willing or unintentional cooperation, silent approval, gives them an energy they need to gain such a influence and power over us.
    Are we will be able to wake up our collective, still Sleeping Giant and stop the Madness,
    or the Madness will devour us slowly ALL???

      You are right, we are dealing with a psychotic collective identity. The thought that AIPAC and CFI are dominating the English speaking empire’s foreign policy is indeed a major concern..

    This “never again” sounds more like a threat than a deep reflection ,looking at the current state of worldy affairs.
    It should be followed by:
    ” never again, or you will all taste the dust of the Samson’s Option.”

      You know what.
      This almost sounds absurd/unreal.
      Except that it is actually a reality that was clearly described in the recent “poem” by
      H-survivor as an answer to G.Grass’s prophetic poem.
      Maybe that’s why so many people don’t believe in it because such an absurd is hard to comprehend.

    What is also scary is the irresponsibility of Israel running this 40-year-old reactor (beset with problems, accidents and a huge source of contamination of the area around it), refusing inspections, reusing monitoring–including the disclosure of where they bury the nuclear waste.
    It is a criminal state and its widely and deeply supporting Israeli citizens proudly enjoying their special and exclusive democracy are complicit and in effect both homicidal suicidal.
    Who would have thought such a huge number of Jews could be so easily and completely duped?

      this is why jewish zionists balk at giving americans any factual information, but will allow israelis much more freedom to debate.
