when tragedy strikes it is an all-too-human response to let the emotion of grief obscure the cool light of reason. this in turn may lead us to attach blame to innocent parties.

i am not authorised to comment on the tragic case of any individual suicide protester. these are often idealistic young people who are lamentably ignorant of the facts on the ground. perhaps they do not realise the immense security threat they pose in a tiny country surrounded by bloodthirsty neighbours armed to the teeth with such dangerous innovations as the lethal Russian K112F kamni (manually-launched litho-weapons, with multiple warheads) which have found their way in to the hands of marauding gangs of five-year old Palestinian thugs – thugs with no political agenda who aim only to murder and terrorise innocent Ashkenazi settler-folk striving to raise families and to peacefully work on their hard-won land.

a technical point may further clarify some misapprehensions.

the IDF-D9L001 is indeed a military bulldozer, but, like the one pictured in Ms Weir’s article, these particular heavy-duty bulldozers are often modified to make them safe for humanitarian missions.

in practice the most common operational role of the modified D9L001s is for the assisted translocation of non-Jewish residents who find themselves quartered in unsuitable dwellings which have become so dangerous that they must be immediately demolished.

on occasion, as any qualified architect or engineer would immediately acknowledge, the danger is so imminent that there is no time to safely evacuate the residents – such cases, reported by unscrupulous foreign journalists, have been used out of context.

we saw an essentially similar live demolition when 19 Arab terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Centre.

yet no-one blames Israel for 911! so it is a painful irony to see these humanitarian IDF operations described in the hostile Palestinian-controlled world media circus as the deliberate killing of Palestinians.

as Mr Netanyahu re-iterated yesterday, ever since the Olmert-Begin code of practice was introduced two decades ago safety of non-Jewish residents is always the top priority for IDF platoons engaged in translocations. it is hardly Israel’s fault if in some circumstances the safest option for a non-Jewish inhabitant of a condemned dwelling is to be bulldozed to death.

alas in a crazy world increasingly given over to anti-semitic hate speech such ‘ironies’ are becoming all too common.

none of the above would surprise me if israel or its testes-free american colony did any of these things.

I felt compelled to write this, but very conflicted about posting it. As I’m sure you have noticed, there is an undertone of bitterness in my pieces that rose to the surface in this one more than most.

I certainly don’t want to disrespect Craig and Cindy Corrie, and even less Rachel, but I couldn’t express the vileness of the people and system that trampled Rachel and her memory without carrying it to lengths that some might find in poor taste. However, I hope it was successful in conveying my disgust.
