Excerpt from PressTV:- Israel says it will launch a military operation against Syria if Damascus transfers missiles or chemical weapons to the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah.

“I have instructed the military to increase its intelligence preparations and prepare what is needed so that … (if necessary) … we will be able to consider carrying out an operation,” the Associated Press quoted Israeli Minister of Military Affairs Ehud Barak as saying on Friday.

“We are following…the possible transfer of advanced munitions systems, mainly anti-aircraft missiles or heavy ground-to-ground missiles, but there could also be a possibility of the transfer of chemical means (weapons) from Syria to Lebanon,” said Barak.

He went on to say that “the moment (Syrian President Bashar al-Assad) starts to fall we will conduct intelligence monitoring and will liaise with other agencies.”

Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council unanimously approved a resolution extending the mandate of its observer mission in Syria for another 30 days.

On Thursday, Russia and China vetoed a Western-backed UN Security Council draft resolution against Syria, which called for new sanctions against the government of President Assad under Chapter Seven of the UN Charter.

I monitor Hebrew press,,, the only thing that slows Israel down is the fact that it wants to launch so many world wars simultaneously , they just can’t make up their mind where to drop the first bomb… could ve been funny if it wasn’t tragic

    enthusiastic quislings of jp:

“Jatras noted: “There is a great deal of glee here in Washington”, following the Damascus attack.

“It is stunning the extent to which the American establishment is essentially cheering on this kind of terrorism, killing government officials with this kind of terrorist bombing that has all the hallmarks of an al-Qaeda type jihad terror operation”, he concluded.

“We’re looking at the controlled demolition of the Assad regime”, trumpeted Andrew J. Tabler, a “Syria expert” at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy shortly before. Sovereignty and rule of law are becoming a distant memory.”

like we watched the controlled demolition of the wtc in 2001 and the controlled demolition of one country after another ever since in the furtherance of jewish/corporate fascist power. meanwhile, back in syria, the “hitler of damascus” (that label thanks to zionazi propaganda):

“British trained surgeon, President Assad must be hugging his young children tonight and every night, staying in his beleagured country as he and his family are, with the courage of Iraq and Libya’s (and loss of children and grandchildren) leaders before him. Meanwhile, his father-in-law, an eminent cardiac surgeon, continues to battle for, and save British lives, in British hospitals.”

The MSM is putting a spin on the military involvement of the UK (no longer deniable), by claiming it is training civilians (“shopkeepers and schoolteachers who have lost everything). The “contingency plans” indicate that Lebanon–more precislely hezbollah–is very much in the aggressor’s view finder:

July 24, 2012 “Daily Mail and Sunday Express” — A British Army source revealed last night that former SAS soldiers are training Syrian rebels in Iraq in military tactics, weapons handling and communications systems.
More than 300 have passed through a base just inside the Iraq border, while a command course is run in Saudi Arabia.
Groups of 50 rebels at a time are being trained by two private security firms employing former Special Forces personnel. “Our role is purely instructional teaching tactics, techniques and procedures,” said a former SAS member.
“Some of these guys are shopkeepers and schoolteachers who have lost everything.
“If we can teach them how to take cover, to shoot and avoid being spotted by snipers it will hopefully help.”
In Britain, military commanders have drawn up contingency plans to evacuate UK passport holders from Lebanon and Jordan if violence spills over from Syria.

A joint naval exercise with France, codenamed Exercise Cougar 12, would be headed by a Royal Naval assault ship, HMS Bulwark, and carry 650 Royal Marines from 45 Commando.

“The MSM is putting a spin on the military involvement of the UK (no longer deniable)”

You state quite categorically that it is the British Military yet the article says it is ex military – who should we believe? Does the British Military have a base in Iraq come to think of it? I thought we withdrew.

Anyone can hire ex military personnel to train them in self defence and in what ever you want to pay for.

Interesting to see that someone “intelligent” and with a “scientific background” reads and quotes from the most Islamophobic newspaper in Britain.

“Anyone can hire ex military personnel to train them in self defence and in what ever you want to pay for.”

And who do you think would be paying the bills for such a costly operation Laura?

We know who paid Blackwater, right?

LS: Interesting to see that someone “intelligent” and with a “scientific background” reads and quotes from the most Islamophobic newspaper in Britain.

The way most of us get news now means that we don’t have to read whole newspapers any more. The article is on many news feeds. Surely we should not ignore it? The question is whether or not it is true. I’d say theres a good chance that it is true and that the British taxpayer is picking up the bill…… I can’t see what the Mail and Express would gain from making it up.

so now laura stuart is defending merc outfits and their role in creating terrorists.

  7. etominusipi July 25, 2012 at 9:10 pm #

does Laura not think it likely that ex-Brit Army mercenaries in a geo-political hotspot, would usually choose to perform their perfidious actions along the grain of British policy?

does Laura not feel that British policy can be easily read from the obviously biased and distorted BBC coverage?

could that policy, even in the absence of such ready clues, not have been easily be predicted from HMG’s recent craven habit of following the diktat of Washington and Tel Aviv?

and what does Laura mean when she has written elsewhere that only an Islamic solution is acceptable?

if she supports the ‘West’ and their stooges, on condition thart they destabilise Syria (and, hopefully, murder Assad and his Alawite clan for good measure).

how are Israel and the US, who have fomented the problem, going to come up with an Islamic solution? the dear old Brotherhood?

is Laura advocating some kind of global Sunni hegemony as the only acceptable solution to the world’s current ‘problems’?

  8. Laura Stuart July 25, 2012 at 10:12 pm #

Yes, Laura is saying exactly that. Countries with Sunni majorities should be ruled according to Islam and even better they should scrap all borders.

“A country of immense strategic significance in the Middle East, Syria is doubly important for Washington. Firstly, as the country serves as a conduit between Hezbollah and Iran, the collapse of Assad regime means the severing of this link. Secondly, Israel, a close ally of the US, will get rid of Syria which keeps planting roadblocks in the path of Zionism. So without bothering to side with this or that party in the Syrian crisis, it is easy to see why the US is so interested in establishing a ‘US-friendly regime’ in Syria and putting an end to or at least limiting the increasing influence of Iran and Hezbollah.

It is sad to see that sinister forces are mobilized to accelerate the collapse of Syria with the ultimate goal of serving the imperialist interests of the US and the UK, strengthening the colonizing regime of Israel in the region and limiting the influence of Iran and Hezbollah.”

those wonderful zionazis and their divide and conquer strategy. this conflict between different religious groups has it’s root in the zionazi world wide war against islam and the zionazi mechinations of pitting groups of non-muslims against muslims and against each other so jp can use these divisions to remain in power. this article catalogs the different groups now fighting each other as a result of this zionazi strategy:
