Two small problems with your little theory:
–one, pointed out by Blake, is that “non-zionist jews” (of whom you have met “a number”) are so few that to even include them in any definition of zionism is like including among the stats of Olympic records those of the Special Olympics.
[I assume that by "non-zionist" you mean someone who rejects Israel's "right to exist" and acknowledges the existence of a judeocracy (JP) at the levers of control of major world powers.]
–the second is that if “zionism” is merely the effect of a ‘natural orientation,’ universally present in all individuals towards greed and dominance seeking, then you are left with some inconvenient statistical facts to explain. Namely, your ‘phenomenon’ should produce less than 2% jews in the money/power gang, not in excess of 90%. Perhaps you wish to adopt Jay’s shtick of claiming that the huge disparity is explained by jews being smarter.
What are the odds of this being just a coincidence and not the result of concerted and consistent tribal behavior?
It is fun to imagine a conversation among members of the Federal Reserve Board, for instance, something along the lines of:
” Did you say you want to be home for Hannukah, Ben?” “Yes, Alan, why?” “Then, you must be jewish, Ben.” “Yes, Alan, as a matter of fact I am, why, you too?” “Yes, Ben, isn’t that incredible? I didn’t know you were jewish either.”
“Do you know, Tim is Jewish too?” “No way! Really? I had no idea when I supported him for the cabinet position!” “Do you suppose there is a chance there might be another Jew on the Board?” “No, I doubt it. What are the odds?”

It is interesting to note key differences in his 2 separate accounts of saving the life of a Gazan child.

In the article above he claims the child was 5 whereas in the other account I linked to the child was 10.

Above he claims that he screamed at the soldier that he “had better kill all of us if he murdered that child as I would show the pictures to the entire free world press”

whereas in the earlier account he writes that he pointed his camera at the soldier and “Apparently he saw what I was doing and muttered something I couldn’t hear and angrily stood down as he withdrew back to his jeep.” – of course memory can change over time but the age of the child and the differences in accounts of the interaction with the soldier do beg questions about the veracity of the claims…..
