I did not see the CNN interview, but I was informed by reporter, James Morris who did see it, that “Rand Paul on CNN yesterday said that aid should be cut off to Egypt and Libya but not to US ‘ally’ who has always been there for us! Made me sick to hear him say such! He obviously likes being in the Senate and is saying that about Israel so as to not allienate all this Christian evangelical voters in Kentucky! You might want to tweet Rand Paul at @SenRandPaul!”

I also reminded Paul that he had PREVIOUSLY called for an end of aid to Israel!

In an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on 26 January 2011, Paul said that “Reuters did a poll, and 71 percent of American people agree with me that when we’re short of money, where we can’t do the things we need to do in our country, we certainly shouldn’t be shipping the money overseas.”

Blitzer inquired if Paul wanted to halt the over $3 billion that go to Israel annually, and Paul replied affirmatively adding that Egypt also receives almost the same amount.
