George Galloway British Member of Parliament sends a strong message to Nasser bin Hamad al Khalifa informing him that he will face protests if he comes to the Olympic Games. Prince Nasser is Commander of the Royal Guard in Bahrain and also President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Prince Nasser has been accused of torture by Bahraini citizens according to the Bahrain Centre for Human Rights. Umm, Georgie dear, how come you’re not giving Bibi Netanyahu and Ehud Barak the same treatment?

    http://news.yahoo.com/terror-suspect-tagged-tracked-nabbed-near-olympic-park-183436241–abc-news-topstories.html

“An accused terrorist was re-arrested for repeatedly getting too close to London’s Olympic Park thanks to a GPS monitoring device that British authorities have used in special cases to track terror suspects who may pose a risk but cannot be prosecuted, local authorities said Sunday.”

in non-jewish-media speak, the person looked muslim, and hadn’t done anything criminal.

    yes, a delicate thing, language.

may i take this opportunity to warn agents using voice-activated technologies, that they should avoid confusing the phrase “terror suspects” with its innocent near-homophone “terrace Uzbeks”.

the former term was first used, though not with its present sinister connotations, by Shakespeare’s butler, Zebadiah Bandage, a minor poet in his own right, who penned in his Sonnet Upon a Deyde Ratte the words:

…so, gripped by terrour suspects his bosome freynde…

the harmless phrase “terrace Uzbeks” is a term employed by chic Muscovites to refer to those nouveaux-riches whose behaviour is loutish in the manner of a Central Asian football supporter (many of who have since emigrated to make a new life in Israel)

munsters? (which, according to at least one fiction-writer, had “a subtext drawn from St Theotokos the Archimandrite’s secret history of Khazar palace life circa 8th century.” – see Marilyn Dunkelstein’s excellent and scholarly article “The Precursors of Soap – a Historico-Theological Re-examination of some Misconceptions about early Television’s Impact on the Development of the Pre-Teenage Superego” in last month’s Critical Review)
