Electronic Intifada / You Are What You Cash

by Daniel Mabsout
Monday, October 15th, 2012

We wonder whom the Electronic Intifada represents and whom does it serve and in the name of whom does it speak?. What strikes in the Intifada people speech is that they have a tendency to defend Jews to the point that if a Jewish person -or even an Israeli citizen – criticizes the Jewish hegemony and the Jewish dominance over US finances or US foreign policy , they accuse him or her of being Anti Semitic . You talk about being more Royalist than the king because one wonders why these people of the Electronic Intifada are committed to exposing anti Semitism more than they are committed to serving Palestine? Who appointed them to defend Jews and what their anti racial campaign against anti Semitism has to do with the Palestinian cause?

The truth is that these Electronic people are Israel’s spokesmen ; they are seeking to solve the Israeli Problem instead of the Palestinian problem , they are seeking the best solution suitable to Israelis- at the expense of Palestinians -and which will be the least costly for the usurping state. For this they are getting inspired from the south African model and seeking a solution that will copy the south African example according to which the Palestinian problem will be solved- like the Apartheid – by promoting the one state solution – in this instance the state of Israel – that will annex all the Palestinian territories including those of 1967 and will grant equal rights to all races including Palestinians.

This is the great solution the Electronic Intifada came up with to the delight of the Israelis. One state , one people under the banner of Israel.! For this reason, and following the South African Anti Apartheid model, the Electronic Intifada has engaged in this anti racist campaign that has targeted even pro Palestinian people who dared to expose the Jewish role and influence in supporting the illegal state of Israel forgetting that -by doing this- they are depriving the Palestinian cause of the support of the people critical of Israel.

Thus the Electronic Intifada people have appointed themselves a reference in determining who qualifies for supporting Palestine and who doesn’t- forgetting how poorly they themselves qualify for this job . But all this should not be surprising when one knows from where the Electronic Intifada gets funding . Well, it is all NGOs work and the Electronic Intifada is part of the BDS movement (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) which gets its funding from mainly the European Union and the George Soros Institutes which means that , when the European Union will become supportive of Palestine, and when George Soros will stop being a Zionist then the Electronic Intifada can start defending truly the Palestinian cause.

Well done analyse, but according to my experiences I would like to add, that the “Electronic” is also a problem with the “left”.

When I was still to some extent a Jewish marxist in 2003, I was permitted to publish groundbraking articles in the biggest newspapers in Sweden against Zionism and Israel. This one is called “Democracy or genicide” in Swedish:

    http://lassewilhelmson.wordpress.com/2003/06/03/israel-must-choose-the-path-of-democracy/

This was at the same time as Israel Shamirs exellent book “Flowers in Gallilei” was published in Swedish, and I was puching hard for it and sold it.

What happened now was that the “Electronic” made a witchunt on Shamir as a person and his writings, which was followed up by a) the Swedish Jewish Peace group (“Estelle” Dror Feiler et alt) that I belonged to, b) the Jewish leaders in Sweden, c) prominent Swedish leftish- mostly trotskies, and d) a prominent Swedish palestinian – leftish.

As I puched hard for Shamirs book, and because my article in the biggest Swedish daily, I myself was increesingly attacked, and (c) and (d) started a whichunt on me, claming that the red line in the palestinian solidatiry movement in Sweden must be Israel Shamir.

At that time I was also the chairman of the Swedish BDS movemnet (before the now existing), and as I refused to reject Shamir (I never reject persons) I choose to leave.

The rest is history and now I am since long niether a Jew nor a Marxist, but only an ordinary human, which means I have become an “anti-semite”, a “Holocaust denier” and a “conspiratorist” :)

But the thing is, that the today story about the “Electronic” is only a repeat of what happened 7-8 years ago in Sweden.

So I think that the “Electronic” problem is more a problem of the left, than of Soros money, even if it to some extent is the same thing :)

certainly saw very similar attitudes/actions – excommunications, splits etc – amongst the (minuscule) British representation of the ‘Fourth International’ in the 1980′s.

perhaps the word ‘venom’ sums it up. people seemed to reserve their most scathing abuse for those who had rather similar ‘positions’ except for some small disagreement which turned out to be crucial.

you see the same sort of thing going on in the earlier history of the British Communist Party.

there is always a polarity between the idea of seeking doctrinal purity and the idea of making compromises in order to create a broader front with greater capability to act as a tangible political force.

very similar phenomenon occurs within evangelistic religious groups.

whilst in some way a part of human psychology, this schismatic tendency mainly serves the interest of those who want to subvert and reduce the effectiveness of any impetus towards positive social change.

the old worn-out paradigms are simply that. old worn-out paradigms. what, if anything, will replace them is in a continual process of discovery, but it demands at least the creative fusion of the ecological, social, personal, creative and spiritual domains of our human existence.

Thanks for divulging that info. Ali seems a dubious character. What is needed is a cohesive Pro-Palestinian movement, not a fractured one.

The “trick” is that marxism is about classes (economic power) and Zionism is about tribalism (Jewish power) – and Jews use both as a dubbelsided survival strategy and for beeing at “the top of the foodchain”.

That is the main reason why most Jewish marxists are the inner defend cirkel of the jewish state – exept Karl Marx and a few others :)

Still KM also was a tribalist together with his mentor his “communist rabbie” Moses Hess that was the real fonder of Zionism and Socialism in Germany.

The earliest connections between Socialism/marxism and Zionism are still there today, even if different secondary branchese have develloped and died during history.

Maybe Abunima is just a Shabbat goy ….

    Peaceful resistance works.
Only because Palestinians are non-violent do the Israelis invade one, maximum two, villages at the time, or kidnap 13 not 14 or 15 Palestinians at a time:

    Army Invades Azzoun, Imposes Curfew
IMEMC – Israeli soldiers invaded, on Monday evening, Azzoun village, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, and imposed curfew on the village forcing its residents under house arrest. …

Settlers Seal Southern Entrance Of Al-Khader Village [1]
IMEMC – Israeli sources reported Monday that dozens of Israeli settlers closed the southern entrance of the Al-Khader village, south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and blocked all Palestinian traffic. …

Including Children, Army Kidnaps 13 Palestinians In The West Bank
IMEMC – Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Monday at dawn, 13 Palestinians in different parts of the West Bank, including two children, 12 and 11 years old, who were taken from their homes in occupied East Jerusalem, and a 15-year-old child in Hebron. …

This letter from Ann Wright, written yesterday shows the Big Purge has only begun:

“Two days ago, on October 13, three hours before I was to board a flight to Europe to meet up with the Swedish boat to Gaza, the “Estelle,” the next boat to challenge the Israeli blockade, I was called by a board member of the Estelle who said that because of the furor around Greta Berlin’s posting and because I am a member of the new, 2 week old board of the Free Gaza Movement, I was no longer invited to be a passenger on the “Estelle.”

The board representative acknowledged that the reason for their invitation to me to be on the “Estelle” was that I am a retired US Army Colonel and former US diplomat who resigned in March, 2003 in opposition to the Iraq war, that I am a vocal critic of Israeli and United States policies on Palestinians and that I have been to Gaza 4 times in the past 3 years, assisted 7 groups to go to Gaza in 2009, helped organize the December, 2009 Gaza Freedom March, was a passenger on the 2010 Gaza Freedom Flotilla, helped organize the 2011 US Boat to Gaza and am an organizer for one of the latest initiatives, Gaza’s Ark.

But, because I am a member of the new board of the Free Gaza movement, and despite the fact I, and Greta and all members of the new board have made public statements posted on the Free Gaza Movement’s website that neither Greta, nor members of the current or previous board are anti-Semitic, bigoted or racist, the fact that I am on the new Free Gaza board was the reason the board of the “Estelle” was withdrawing the invitation for me to sail on the Estelle due to allegations of anti-Semitism of the Swedish Boat to Gaza by pro-Israelis groups in Sweden.

I am saddened by the decision of the board to withdraw its invitation and I believe it is wrong. All of our projects that have challenged Israeli policies toward Palestinians have been called anti-Semitic by pro-Israeli groups. This is not a new tactic used to scare pro-Palestinian groups.

Phil Weiss and Adam Horowitz in an article posted on Mondoweiss said – “there is no room for racism in a movement working for equality, justice and freedom for all in Israel/Palestine”—and they are right, but at the same time, there is no room for throwing long-time international activists for Palestine “off the boat,” so to speak.

Greta Berlin is not an anti-Semite, a bigot or a racist, and neither am I.

I wish the passengers and crew on the “Estelle” a safe voyage in challenging the Israeli naval blockade of Gaza and call for all who support Palestinians to keep their eyes on the prize—justice, dignity and freedom for Palestinians who are suffering under unjust Israeli policies and actions.

Peace to all and among us all,
    Ann Wright

So… Ann Wright served on the same board as Greta Berlin. Guilty!
What about people with whom GB maintained frequent contact?
Has she submitted her address book and her computer to the Un-Jewish Activities Committee yet?
