Yes, of course. This reminds me of the scene in “Monty Python and The Holy Grail” When Brother Maynard (Eric Idle)is reading the last words of an Aramaic text on a cave wall. They are the last words of the dying Joseph of Aramathea, yet even though he is dying he somehow manages to write down his last gutteral utterance: “uuggggh”.

Who cares about the moustache–known before Hitler as “la mouche” by the French. It was not an attractive upper lip pilosity to cultivate. The name Adolf does not seem to me a great loss either–kind of prissy…
It was wrong of the Uruguayans to name the dog Adolf anyway, and adding fito at the end did not improve it—no sibilant sounds in it. Dogs need names they can hear easily like Zorro, Tsunami, Max, Xerxes, Zeus, etc…

Take this, Greg Felton (and other naysayers like you) and retract:

“WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was found hiding in a boat days after the blasts, left a handwritten message describing the attack as retribution for U.S. wars in Muslim countries, CBS News reported on Thursday.
The CBS News report, citing anonymous sources, said that Tsarnaev used a pen to write the message on an interior wall of the boat, where police found him bleeding from gunshot wounds four days after the April 15 bombing.
The note summed up with the idea that “when you attack one Muslim, you attack all Muslims,” CBS News reported.”

I have always admired, no, maybe the word is too strong, let’s say I always felt we should hand it to these muslim terrorists for being such irrepressible writers.
Mohamed Atta– remember him? — left a treasure trove in the trunk of his car parked at the airport. (We know nothing about the Underwear Bomber’s writings on his Fruit of the Loom, or indeed about the Shoelace terrorist–a thankless task eve if he had used cuneiforms).
Now this kid, bleeding to death and hiding, cramped in a boat where he was discovered pretty fast, still managed to write a sort of political testament.
I for one would love to know more:
“used a pen”? WHAT pen? More like a Bic or a Montblanc? Even so, I think that disappoints. Why not blood? His own blood! It would have been a mural, literature as well as art. I am also a tad disappointed by the message, the bit about attacking one Muslim amounting to attacking them all. Nothing about our hated values. Well, he is a young writer.
Nevertheless, I am quite taken with the image of the interior walls of the boat being used for a message. He knew he could die in there, seriously wounded and still being shot at, so the boat was his sarcophagus and papyrus at the same time!
It is not often anymore (not after the early Bin Laden cantos) that we got even fugitive glimpses of imagination in this new literary genre, the perimortem terrorist apothegmata.
