nicely written Somoe. and a good question:

is it just greed for money and fame? tribalism? abuse? mind control? bribery? blackmail? brainwashing from an early age?

four suggested further categories of motive

i cannot give a comprehensive answer so let me attempt to add further nuance to the question.

firstly, some quite important components are missing from your brief list. this is not a criticism, as your list was not claimed to be complete - it was there merely to flesh out that searing question: why do they do it? nevertheless i would suggest it would be useful to bring in four additional categories of motive for consideration. doubtless there are others.

(1) chutzpah. as a motive this is a bit like because it is there. we do it because it can be done and because we have the balls to attempt it. there is often in this an inbuilt sense of superiority related to the exceptionalism which is a constituent of the sense of chosen-ness

(2) inordinate or perverted sexual appetites. whilst most of us are sexual creatures, the relatively innocent probably have little understanding of the degree to which unruly, abnormal or criminal sex drives create a powerful motive for 'selling out'. this lack of insight is not just because of innocence. these things are covered up very effectively, so there is a paucity of evidence, which conspires with an unwillingness to even think about such things.

(3) the lust for power over others. if i may take the liberty of being personal for a moment, i think this important group of motives (the lust-for-power complex) is particularly difficult for aspergers to understand, because one of the symptoms of aspergers, at least of what i subjectively call aspergers, is the absence of desire to control others, indeed, the presence of a distinct discomfort with the very idea.

(4) dedication to evil. i will not comment further on this motive and the different circumstances in which it may arise, but i do think it is a factor in some cases, and by no means peripheral to the whole problematic.

secondly let us not merely focus on the tribe. without the assistance of a willing army of shabes goyim there could be no successful takeover of power by a tiny minority, such as we have seen in the worlds of banking, showbiz and media, politics and organised crime. the motivational structure of tribals and shabes goyim may well be somewhat different.

the complexity of our list of motives suggests a plurality of causation here. for this reason, in order to obtain greater precision the words greed for money and fame i should maybe replace with greed for money or hunger for fame. the two motivations may go together, but also occur separately. (although he was not a tribal, at least to my knowledge, a good example of the separation is Oscar Wilde who was undoubtedly driven by a desire for fame, or even notoriety, but apart from his love of fine things, seemed free of money-greed as such, and would surely have found that motivation banal and rather disgusting)

again, my phrase plurality of causation is over-simplistic. the different factors can work together, acquiring the force of synergy. an obvious example is that perverted and/or illegal sexual expression easily feeds into blackmail.

people of action are often impatient with the attempt to understand. but my personal bias is to think careful diagnosis crucial to choice of therapies.

progress in diagnosis requires a useful and comprehensive list of motivations, coupled with careful and dispassionate case studies of known individuals. perhaps this work has already been done, but if it has the results are either not widely available or insufficiently studied. for deLiberation Ariadna has made a good start with the truly dreadful 'person' (or venomous cockroach in human form) who is the subject of this post.

i had intended to discuss examples, but i feel i should just make this comment as it is, and await corrections or further elaboration from others - the dryness of this intellectual analysis has exhausted me for the present, though case studies are undoubtedy the 'juicy bit' of the enterprise, and more satisfying to undertake.

Well the only way that's ever going to happen is if our respective regimes (US and UK) are dismantled first, cos lets face it, it is their will and not the will of the electorate to perpetuate this evil - 'killing in the name of security', and the m.s. media who slavishly report propaganda are complicit in it too - Happy to just take the fame & money and damn the truth.

Many things must change before the world regains some semblance of sanity and it must begin with the removal of the sociopaths that have convinced everyone that they would make good leaders and that the system serves the people. We see their lies, prejudice and hypocrisy with every word they utter.

What can cause a human to act in such a treasonous way, to sell out humanity for the benefit of a chosen few? - is it just greed for money and fame? tribalism? abuse? mind control? bribery? blackmail? brainwashing from an early age?

Some say that it is power that corrupts but power is purely a subjective perception. People like this think that they are powerful through their dominance and control over others through military, propaganda and financial means; whilst those with wisdom understand that such power is ever shifting and those that invest in sound relations with others, built on compassion, trust and mutual benefit not fear, can build systems that endure and therein lies true power.

It is ultimately their perception of their power that causes people to become corrupt. It seems so counter-intuitive then for the jewish faith to inculcate in jewish people that they are one of the 'chosen' tribe destined to rule over humanity. This along with all the other stuff about treatment of goyim is bound to create power hungry, nut-job jews (and the evidence for this is overwhelming), that don't understand the great responsibilities involved in wielding power and would simply use their perceived power to control others for the illusory benefit of themselves and their tribe and the detriment of all else - not realising the error of their ways. Because of the inter-connectness of ALL things, no actions are free of consequence and a time of reckoning fast approaches.

"A 42-year-old woman in Gaza is in critical condition after being shot on Wednesday by Israeli troops near the border, in an apparrently unprovoked shooting.

“She was shot by several bullets, one of which hit her in the chest,” said Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Hamas-run ministry of health. “She is in critical condition.”

Little cross border attacks like this are all too common, but rarely are Israeli soldiers punished.

Israel established an unofficial security “buffer zone” – the exact dimensions of which are not known – and it is frequently enforced with live fire. Up to 34 such shootings occurred in June and 10 in July, according to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), killing 11 people over both months."
