Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah said that what protects Lebanon from any Israeli threat is the existence of a deterring balance with this enemy, adding that the suitable defensive strategy in Lebanon is the existence of a strong army and a powerful resistance with a coordination between them .
“Following the victory of Lebanon in 2000 and dismissing the Israeli occupation from south Lebanon, the aim of the US and Israel became disarming the resistance, particularly the arms of Hizbollah,” Nasrallah said in a speech at an Iftar banquet on Wednesday.
He pointed out to several bargaining offers to the resistance to disarm its weapon by the US and others.
“Similar bargaining offer was presented to Syria in 2004 before the issuance of No.1559 when one of the Arab rulers told President Bashar al-Assad that if you want to remain in Lebanon, you can do so, but the price will be disarming the weapon of Hizbollah and the Palestinians.. but President al-Assad rejected this offer because he considers the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine as part of a pan-Arab Security strategy.”

On Tuesday, July 31, Israeli President Shimon Peres made public a letter that he claimed to have received in confidence from Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi. The letter says, “I am looking forward to exerting our best efforts to get the Middle East peace process back to its right track in order to achieve security and stability for all peoples of the region, including (the) Israeli people.” However, Egyptian Presidential spokesman Yasser Ali denies that Mursi sent the letter and says it is a fake.
It is widely assumed that one of these accounts is a lie, and there is much debate about who is telling the truth. However, this reporter has learned that both statements are true.
In fact, it was only after much deliberation and consultation with his closest advisors, and under great pressure from the U.S. and its allies, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar, that Dr. Mursi did not write or send the alleged letter. The letter then appeared miraculously in the hands of Mr. Peres without ever having been composed, written or sent, although the precise location of its materialization is still uncertain.
This is known as the Immaculate Reception, and since the document was produced on virgin paper, it has been called the Virgin Memorandum. Hopefully, this information will resolve and set to rest further speculation about this matter.
Dr. Mursi’s administration has made it clear that it opposes Zionism while recognizing Israel, will abide by all its treaties and agreements with Israel while supporting the Palestinian right to resist, and seeks to maintain peace with Israel, preferably based on justice, if possible. Similarly, the government represented by Mr. Peres respects international law while deciding what types of ethnic cleansing are legal, and has refrained from possessing nuclear weapons while maintaining the possibility of developing them, which by their estimate would require seventeen seconds. The Virgin Memorandum is therefore in conformity with the standards of diplomacy of both countries.
London 2012 Olympic Games create controversy in Israel
David or Goliath?
How many medals did Israel win in the Olympic Games? The truth ruth is that not even Israelis care about that. The London 2012 Olympic Games became a controversial topic in Israel, despite their Zion-like logo, due to a very different issue. These days, the Wrath of Israel is concentrated on Alex Gilady, the Israeli member of the International Olympic Committee. He vaguely resembles Israel’s President Shimon Peres; not as much in his physical characteristics, but in what looks like an incredible capability to stick to senior political positions for eons. Gilady has been a member of the IOC since 1994, and—if the current affair calms down—is unlikely to leave his position anytime soon. Against all odds, this proud Zionist opposed Israel’s request to commemorate the 1972 Munich Massacre with a minute of silence at the opening ceremony. Next week, the event will be commemorated by the IOC in a separate event.
Before taking the narrative back to 1972, it is important to know that the families of the eleven murdered sportsmen didn’t request a moment of silence until 1996. It took them twenty-four years after the massacre to think about it; this is a clear sign that this is not an important issue. Invariably, the request has been denied. Invariably, a separate ceremony takes place, so that the families cannot claim they have been forgotten. I would like to see the IOC caring so much about the millions of living refugees forgotten in every corner of this planet. Having said that, let’s see why the Israeli request is indecent.
The Munich Massacre took place during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, which was then part of West Germany. On September 5, eleven members of the Israeli Olympic Team—athletes and coaches—were taken hostage and killed during Operation Ikrit and Biram, performed by a group named “Black September.” A German police officer was also killed. Five of the eight members of Black September were killed during a failed rescue attempt; the three surviving ones were captured but later released by West Germany following the hijacking of a Lufthansa airliner by their organization. Israel’s answer was violent. Its highest level of operation is known as “Operation Wrath of God,” which included several independent actions. Its goal was to assassinate individuals alleged to have been directly or indirectly involved in the Munich Massacre. Neither legal procedure nor legal defense was allowed to the accused.
One of the best known smaller events within Operation Wrath of God, is known as Operation Spring of Youth. It was led by Ehud Barak, presently Israel’s Minister of Defense. On April 9, 1973, combined IDF-Mossad teams attacked several targets in Sidon and Beirut. Barak is famous for having arrived disguised as an old, overweight lady dressed up in typical Lebanese garments. Three prominent Palestinian leaders and several others were assassinated; Yasser Arafat survived. Another cornerstone of Operation Wrath of God is known as the Lillehammer Affair. On July 21, 1973, Mossad agents assassinated a Moroccan waiter, Ahmed Bouchiki, in Lillehammer, Norway, after having mistaken him for Ali Hassan Salameh, Black September’s Chief of Operations. The Mossad team was captured and convicted in Norway. In the following years, a full-fledged war between Israelis and Palestinians took place all over Europe. Operation Wrath of God brought no justice to the victims. It brought no peace. As such, the Israeli reaction was a failure. It wasn’t the wrath of a caring God, but the Wrath of a Brute Criminal.
Incessant Zionist Clatter
This violent struggle between Palestinians and Israelis is odd. Both sides claimed to be a weak David fighting a mighty Goliath. Both sides engaged in methods that cannot be considered in any way as legitimate warfare. Yet, there was a difference. The Palestinians took hostages in the hope of liberating some of their prisoners, who hadn’t got fair trials in Israel. From that point onwards, their operation deteriorated, and unplanned, undesired deaths, took place. Israel—poor Goliath!—took a cold-blooded decision to assassinate specific people belonging to the other side without allowing them a proper legal process. Israel scrapped the rule of law, banned all signs of human culture. Israel likes to define itself as the “People of the Book,” but in what it called Operation Wrath of God it consciously rejected all the merciful teachings of its God, for the sake of vicious revenge.
If Israel had not decided to begin a savage revenge against people whom nobody knows were guilty of anything, then I could understand a minute of silence for the Munich Massacre victims. However, the deaths were the direct result of the clumsy rescue attempt (a real rescue would have meant the release of the misjudged prisoners in Israeli prisons). At that moment Israel descended into the lowest savagery in order to carry out its revenge, it lost the right to present itself as a rightful David struggling against a vicious Goliath. In fact, Israel was more violent than its opponent, clearly trespassing all boundaries set by international and national laws. Even if it took place within its fiefdom, should the IOC commemorate a single battle within this foreign war with a minute of silence?
Article 2 of the Fundamental Principles of Olympism in the Olympic Charter states: “The goal of Olympism is to place sport at the service of the harmonious development of humankind, with a view to promoting a peaceful society concerned with the preservation of human dignity.” Remembering the Munich Massacre means remembering also the shameful Operation Wrath of God; this opposes the promotion of a peaceful society. This opposes the harmonious development of humankind. This promotes illegitimate violence. This promotes the bypassing of all fair legal procedures for the sake of a populist, Coliseum-styled, Emperor-backed justice. Bring on the lions and gag the victims! Only Israel is to be blamed for the desecration of its victims’ memory. Israel linked the memories of fallen athletes with unjustifiable crimes. In their incessant, mindless clatter, they have lost the right to be listened to in respectful silence.
He’s blind to the “bleedin’ obvious” economic consequence of military occupation
Mitt Romney is listed among People magazine’s 50 “most beautiful” of 2002. He was up there with Nicole Kidman, Britney Spears and Julia Roberts. But how pretty does he look in 2012?
This US presidential hopeful from AIPAC’s Republican wing came here to England and put his foot in it by questioning Britain‘s readiness to host the Olympics. We were already on the case, thank-you Mr Romney. But please remember that it’s largely America’s misbehaviour around the world that puts such a colossal strain on Olympic security and makes other nations’ teams so nervous.
His remarks drew some sharp responses, and thus began a series of “mis-steps” that characterized the presidential candidate’s misadventure into the wider world and culminated in an unforgettable “kiss my ass” invitation by one of his campaign aides. Mis-steps is a curiously polite US word that seems to be gaining currency here. It conjures up the erratic progress of a stumblebum.
No surprise that while in London he met with the Quartet’s zio-stooge Tony Blair to have his mind further poisoned and confused.
Romney then went to Israel to annoy the Palestinians by stating the bleedin’ obvious – that the Israeli economy had outpaced the Palestinians’ – and suggesting that this phenomenon could be explained by the superior “culture”.
He came to a fundraiser attended by the mega-rich at the King David Hotel Jerusalem with, he said, “a sense of profound humility”. After all, he was expecting a nice fat cheque for $1 million. Was he aware that this is the same King David Hotel that was blown up by a Jewish terror gang in 1946 when it served as the British administration’s headquarters, murdering 91?
That infamous attack had Menachem Begin’s fingerprints all over it and was far worse than any subsequent bombing in the Arab-Israel conflict – except Israel’s ‘Cast Lead’ blitzkrieg against Gaza in the winter of 2008/9. Begin of course went on to become an Israeli prime minister, having all the qualifications.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz observed that Romney’s speech “sounded as if it could have been written by Netanyahu’s bureau”. He said: “As you come here and you see the GDP per capita, for instance, in Israel which is about $21,000, and compare that with the GDP per capita just across the areas managed by the Palestinian Authority, which is more like $10,000 per capita, you notice such a dramatically stark difference in economic vitality.”
This brilliant analysis is apparently based on a book Romney had read called “The Wealth and Poverty of Nations” in his search for reasons why two neighbouring places have such disparate prosperity. “Culture makes all the difference. Culture makes all the difference,” he said, this being his conclusion.
A few weeks ago a World Bank report said that the Palestinian economy’s modest growth was not sustainable because it was driven by aid – it was artificial and therefore not strong enough to support statehood. Before that, an Israeli government report had said the Palestinian set-up was not economically stable enough to support a state. And why would that be? Because Israel is pulling every dirty trick imaginable to impoverish and incapacitate the Occupied Territories and keep them in subjugation.
Given their freedom like other people the Palestinians of course could stand on their own feet and would not need Western taxpayer support.
Had Romney spent as much time in Palestine as he did in Israel he could have discovered the truth first-hand. He’d have seen the bleedin’ obvious – that the reason the Palestinian economy is on it knees has nothing to do with culture and everything to do with the illegal and brutal military occupation, and the fact that donor countries like the US, Britain and the EU have been propping up and perpetuating the occupation for decades. How can the Palestinians prosper when the Israelis won’t allow them to export or import or otherwise do business freely with the outside world?
As for Palestine’s weakening agricultural sector what has happened to their water? It’s been stolen and the Israelis are filling their swimming pools and washing their cars with it and channeling it to their own agricultural crops on confiscated Palestinian land, while the Palestinian farmers’ supply is down to a trickle.
And are Palestinians allowed to develop their own energy resource – the Gaza offshore gas field? No. Israel is trying to steal that too.
Romney also ignores the endless checkpoints and other restrictions that block freedom of movement and commerce within the Occupied Territories. It’s bleedin’ obvious the Palestinians can’t grow their economy until they shake off Israel’s shackles. The dimmest American politician, surely, can figure that out.
But it suits the West’s corrupted political class to let the evil continue.
Romney scheduled a very brief meeting with the Palestinian Authority’s unelected prime minister Salam Fayyad and laced it with a second insult by not traveling to Ramallah. Did he pop over to Gaza and shoot the breeze with Haniyeh and Al-Zahar? Nah, such a reality-check would have been too much for a sheltered Republican softie.
Instead he donned the obligatory kippah for the Zionist cameras and hasbara scribes and prayed at the Western Wall. He met Netanyahu, Israel’s belligerent prime minister. One of Romney’s senior policy adviser promised support for a unilateral military strike by Israel, which has some 400 nuclear warheads, against Iran which has none… notwithstanding that the Israeli regime is considered by more and more people to be clinically mad.
And to underscore his ignorance he declared Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel. Well, Israel would certainly like Jerusalem to be its capital and for everyone in the world to acknowledge it, but few do for very good reason.
“All I can say is that this man needs a lot of education,” said Saeb Erekat, top Palestinian Authority negotiator. “He doesn’t know the region, he doesn’t know Israelis, he doesn’t know Palestinians, and to talk about the Palestinians as an inferior culture is really a racist statement,” At last, here’s something Erekat says that we can agree with.
Romney’s visit to Poland on the final leg of his visit to the real world was hardly a public affairs triumph either, according to the BBC. As Mark Mardell reported, “even his press team finds it difficult to respond to the most basic inquiries about what their candidate has said”. And Romney’s press secretary spectacularly lost his rag with reporters and refused to answer questions after their visit to Warsaw’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. “Shove it” and “kiss my ass”, he told reporters.
Far better if glamour-boy Romney had stayed home to irritate the good people of Massachusetts. I thought we Brits were hard up for political talent. But, dear God, is this charmless individual the best presidential material our American friends can offer a world that cries out for integrity and courageous leadership?
As I was about to file this, an email from JVP (Jewish Voice for Peace) arrived with the text of an open letter to Romney, which they hope to deliver at the end of the week. It says…
To Governor Mitt Romney,
Your statements in Jerusalem regarding the growth of the Palestinian and Israeli economies were inaccurate and misleading. Israel’s Occupation of Palestinian land makes it impossible for the Palestinian economy to succeed, not “cultural differences.” Your comments were not a reflection of the values Jews, Americans, and our allies hold dear. We call on you to apologize to the Palestinian people for your willful lack of understanding of the facts on the ground and the racist assumptions behind them.
JVP also point out that Romney managed to get his facts completely wrong in claiming the Israeli GDP is twice that of the Occupied Palestinian Territories, when it is actually about ten times greater.

For more than a year, the deadly unrest in Syria has brought about more questions than answers but what’s definitely clear is that civilians have been the main victims of what the armed opposition says is a government crackdown and the government says is a foreign-backed attempt to destroy the country.
This August 6th and 9th mark the 67th anniversaries of the most brutal acts of terrorism upon innocent people: America’s atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
“We live in a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants, in a world that has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without conscience. We have solved the mystery of the atom and forgotten the lessons of the Sermon on The Mount. We know more about war than we know about peace, more about dying than we know about living.”- General Omar Nelson Bradley, 1948.
In 1995, from Ashkelon Prison, Israel’s Nuclear Whistle Blower Mordechai Vanunu noted: “Hollywood doesn’t know you – you are not a Jewish Holocaust.”
In his 2012 budget, President Obama included $54 billion in federal loan guarantees for new nuclear reactors and $7.6 billion for nuclear weapons research and production, but “Any nation that year after year continues to raise the Defense budget while cutting social programs to the neediest is a nation approaching spiritual death.” – Rev. MLK
A Time-Lapse Map of Every Nuclear Explosion Since 1945 – by Isao Hashimoto:
Nuclear weapons are not just morally indefensible they are politically unsustainable.
America is one of the five nuclear powers that signed the NPT and thus is obligated to abolish its nuclear weapons-but the USA has been in violation ever since the day America signed the NPT!
The NPT/Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, was created in 1968, and maintains that nuclear weapons proliferation can only be curtailed if nuclear countries move toward disarmament and the five nuclear powers that signed the NPT must abolish their nuclear weapons.
In 1966, at the height of the Cold War, the US nuclear arsenal was estimated at over 32,000 warheads. Current estimates range from 5,000 to 12,000; but even one is more than enough to destroy Creation as we now know it.
IF THAT DAY we call 9/11 taught us anything, it should be that America’s nuclear arsenal cannot defeat ‘terrorism’ or provide security from the actions of a few violent mad men who target and murder innocent people.
American money is imprinted with “IN GOD WE TRUST” but yet the U.S. maintains a nuclear arsenal of nearly 2,000 on hair-trigger alert ever since the end of the Cold War.
The Orwellian named Life Extension Program will extend the life of every one of America’s weapons of mass destruction for three decades or more as well as undermine sound national security by introducing major changes to existing nuclear weapons stockpile that had been extensively tested.
Obama’s budget requests have included significant investments in maintaining and modernizing America’s nuclear weapons through the life-extension programs (LEPs). Including the costs from FY2011, this administration asked for $6.3 billion through FY2016 to refurbish the warheads in the stockpile and additional LEPs are planned after 2016 (see Stockpile Stewardship Management Plan).
On April 5, 2009, Mr. Nuclear Free World President Obama stood on the world stage amongst thousands of flag-waving Czechs and spoke of good humor, home town Chicago, the will of the people over tanks and guns, old conflicts, revolution, moral leadership as the most powerful weapon, iron curtains that fell and the state of 21st century nuclear weapons:
“We are here today because enough people ignored the voices who told them that the world could not change. We’re here today because of the courage of those who stood up and took risks to say that freedom is a right for all people, no matter what side of a wall they live on, and no matter what they look like. We are here today because the simple and principled pursuit of liberty and opportunity shamed those who relied on the power of tanks and arms to put down the will of a people.
“Some argue that the spread of these weapons cannot be stopped, cannot be checked -– that we are destined to live in a world where more nations and more people possess the ultimate tools of destruction. Such fatalism is a deadly adversary, for if we believe that the spread of nuclear weapons is inevitable, then in some way we are admitting to ourselves that the use of nuclear weapons is inevitable.
“As the only nuclear power to have used a nuclear weapon, the United States has a moral responsibility to act…It will take patience and persistence. But now we, too, must ignore the voices who tell us that the world cannot change. We have to insist, Yes, We Can!
“There is violence and injustice in our world that must be confronted. We must confront it by standing together as free nations, as free people. I know that a call to arms can stir the souls of men and women more than a call to lay them down. But that is why the voices for peace and progress must be raised together.
“Let us honor our past by reaching for a better future. Let us bridge our divisions, build upon our hopes, and accept our responsibility to leave this world more prosperous and more peaceful than we found it. Together we can do it.
“Words must mean something [and] violence and injustice must be confronted by standing together as free nations, as free people…Human destiny will be what we make of it.”
The deepest Christian thinker of the 20th century, Thomas Merton, a Trappist monk, poet, social critic and mystic who listened to Bob Dylan LP’s in his hermitage cell wrote:
“One of the many casualties of the culture of war is the imagination. People can no longer imagine a world without war or nuclear weapons or violence or poverty. They can’t even imagine it, because the culture has robbed us of our imaginations.”
“It is absolutely necessary to take a serious and articulate a stand on the question of nuclear war, and I mean against nuclear war. The passivity, the apparent indifference, the incoherence of so many Christians on this issue, and worse still the active belligerency of some religious spokesmen is rapidly becoming one of the most frightful scandals in the history of Christendom.”
In 1987, from his windowless tomb sized cell in Ashkelon prison, the Christian convert from Orthodox Judaism and atheism, Israel’s Nuclear Whistle Blower, Mordechai Vanunu, wrote:
“The passive acceptance and complacency with regard to the existence of nuclear weapons anywhere on earth is the disease of society today. This struggle is not only a legitimate one – it is a moral, inescapable struggle.
“No government, not even the most democratic, can force us to live under this threat. No state in the world can offer any kind of security against this menace of a nuclear holocaust, or guarantee to prevent it. Already now there are enough nuclear missiles to destroy the world many times over. This issue should unite us all, because that is our real enemy.
“Any country, which manufactures and stocks nuclear weapons, is first of all endangering its own citizens. This is why the citizens must confront their government and warn it that it has no right to expose them to this danger. Because, in effect, the citizens are being held hostage by their own government, just as if they have been hijacked and deprived of their freedom and threatened.
“Indeed, when governments develop nuclear weapons without the consent of their citizens – and this is true in most cases – they are violating the basic rights of their citizens, the basic right not to live under constant threat of annihilation. Is any government qualified and authorized to produce such weapons.”
The answer has always been NO!
A little history of when America crossed the line in our addiction to violence and vaporized 130,000 people in Hiroshima and another 70,000 people, three days later in Nagasaki:
At 5:30 AM on July 16, 1945, the nuclear age began, when the first nuclear bomb was exploded by the American federal government at the Trinity Test Site, at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. Plutonium and other toxic and radioactive chemicals were dispersed for hundreds of miles and some areas are still contaminated.
The bomb exploded over the New Mexico desert, vaporizing a tower and turning the asphalt to green sand. Seconds later a huge blast of heat scorched the desert. No one could see the radiation generated by the explosion, but they all knew it was there. A half a mile away, the steel container called “Jumbo,” weighing over 200 tons was knocked over as the orange and yellow fireball stretched up and spread into a second column, that rose and flattened into a mushroom cloud; imprinting upon the human consciousness a symbol of violent power and destruction.
The father of the atomic bomb, Dr. Robert Oppenheimer chose to name this harrowing happening the “Trinity” test.
“Why I chose the name is not clear, but I know what thoughts were in my mind. There is a poem of John Donne, written just before his death, which I know and love. From it a quotation: ‘As West and East, In all flat Maps—and I am one—are one, So death doth touch the Resurrection.’ That still does not make a Trinity, but in another, better known devotional poem Donne opens, ‘Batter my heart, three person’d God.’”
“Batter my Heart” continues:
Batter my heart, three-person’d God, for you
As yet but knock, breathe, shine, and seek to mend;
That I may rise and stand, o’erthrow me, and bend
Your force to break, blow, burn, and make me new.
I, like an usurp’d town to another due,
Labour to admit you, but oh, to no end;
Reason, your viceroy in me, me should defend,
But is captiv’d, and proves weak or untrue.
Yet dearly I love you, and would be lov’d fain,
But am betroth’d unto your enemy;
Divorce me, untie or break that knot again,
Take me to you, imprison me, for I,
Except you enthrall me, never shall be free,
Nor ever chaste, except you ravish me.
In the moment that followed the atomic inferno, Oppenheimer recalled this sentence from the Bhagvad Gita:
“Now I have become death, the destroyer of the worlds.”
When Oppenheimer was asked for his thoughts regarding Sen. Robert Kennedy’s efforts to urge President Lyndon Johnson to initiate talks to stop the spread of nuclear weapons, he responded: “It’s 20 years too late. It should have been done the day after Trinity.”
Indeed; but it was not and it led to Little Boy, the uranium bomb, that was dropped on innocent civilians in Hiroshima on August 6, with the encore being the plutonium weapon of mass destruction, Fat Man, which followed on the innocents of Nagasaki on August 9.
Today’s UN-Holy “Trinity” is a triune of radiological horrors: nuclear bombs, nuclear reactors, and conventional Uranium Weapons (such as Depleted Uranium or DU) that are used in military testing, training, and military combat.
“The deliberate use of manmade ionizing radiation is an assault upon people, the environment, and all living things. Since the first Plutonium and Uranium nuclear bomb was exploded in New Mexico on July 16, 1945, the contamination of the United States and the rest of the world [continues].
“Those responsible for seven decades of both domestic and international radiological assault are our own government agencies: the Departments of Energy and Defense, and the NRC (some say it stands for the Nuclear Radiating Committee) along with a multitude of corporations involved in various aspects of manufacturing munitions of both nuclear and ‘conventional’ weapons varieties. Used in military combat, these radioactive munitions have been contaminating the Middle East and other nations wherever they are fired and tested.
“Beyond military weapons applications, energy firms that use nuclear reactors to generate the electricity that powers America’s TV sets are similarly polluting our air, water, and soil with these DNA-wrecking poisons…[and] there are efforts underway to enrich even More Uranium as well as plans to build More weapons facilities and fund bailouts using taxpayers’ money to build More experimental nuclear reactors with unsafe designs like the Westinghouse AP-1000 and AREVA’s European Pressurised Reactor (EPR).
“While Nuclear-Everything is being pushed on America as a ‘clean’ energy alternative sanctified under the guise of reduced carbon emissions, consider if you will just a few effects of ionizing radiation: decreasing fertility rates, miscarriages, genetic mutations, increasing rates of cancers, some forms of heart disease, neuromuscular disease, and thyroid disease, diabetes, and other endocrine-related disorders and many other radiation-induced diseases.”
On 8 July 1996, the International Court of Justice issued the statement:
“The destructive power of nuclear weapons cannot be contained in either space or time. They have the potential to destroy all civilization and the entire ecosystem of the planet.”
The ICJ also affirmed the “fundamental, cardinal and intransgressible” rule that “States must never make civilians the object of attack and must consequently never use weapons that are incapable of distinguishing between civilians and military targets.”
States have obligations.
People have rights!
Anti-nuclear civil resistance is the right of every citizen of the world, for the nuclear threat attacks every core concept of human rights and “calls for urgent and universal action for its prevention. If it is a basic human right to be free of threat or violence, if the right to life is a basic human right, if the protection of children and future generations is a basic human duty, international law must unhesitatingly recognize that the right to non violent resistance activities for the prevention of such an international crime is basic to human dignity.”
On 17 April 2010, Iran hosted a conference in Tehran on nuclear disarmament with sixty countries represented-but no one from America was there!
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued this statement at the conference affirming that nuclear weaponry was “haram” meaning prohibited under Islam and he also blew the doors off Israel’s and America’s nuclear deceptions:
“If America’s claims of fighting the proliferation of nuclear weapons were not false, would the Zionist regime be able to turn the occupied Palestinian lands into an arsenal where a huge number of nuclear weapons are stored while refusing to respect international regulations in this regard, especially the NPT?
“There is only one government that has committed a nuclear crime so far. Only the government of the United States of America has attacked the oppressed people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with atomic bombs in an unfair and inhumane war using or even threatening to use such weapons is a serious violation of the most basic rules of philanthropy and is a clear manifestation of war crimes.
“The greatest violators of the NPT are the powers who have reneged on their obligation to dispose of nuclear weapons mentioned in Article 6 of the Non-Proliferation Treaty. These powers have even surpassed other countries with respect to promoting nuclear weapons in the world. By providing the Zionist regime with nuclear weapons and supporting its policies, these powers play a direct role in promoting nuclear weapons which is against the obligations they have undertaken according to Article 1 of the NPT.
“We believe that besides nuclear weapons, other types of weapons of mass destruction such as chemical and biological weapons also pose a serious threat to humanity. The Iranian nation, which is itself a victim of chemical weapons, feels more than any other nation the danger that is caused by the production and stockpiling of such weapons and is prepared to make use of all its facilities to counter such threats. We consider the use of such weapons as haram (religiously forbidden) and believe that it is everyone’s duty to make efforts to secure humanity against this great disaster.”
On 2 October 2009, The Washington Times reported that Obama agreed to keep Israel’s nukes ‘secret’ and reaffirmed a 4-decade-old understanding that has allowed Israel to keep a nuclear arsenal without opening it to international inspections.”
Three officials spoke on the condition that they not be named because they were discussing private conversations, but all said Obama pledged to maintain the agreement when he first hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House in May 2009.
Under the understanding, the U.S. has not pressured Israel to disclose its nuclear weapons or to sign the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, which would require Israel to give up its estimated several hundred nuclear bombs.
That nuclear deception was reached at a summit between President Nixon and Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir on 25 September 1969.
Author Avner Cohen, reported that the accord amounted to “the United States passively accepting Israel’s nuclear weapons status as long as Israel does not unveil publicly its capability or test a weapon.”
During my 2005 interviews with Mordechai Vanunu he told me:
“Did you know that President Kennedy tried to stop Israel from building atomic weapons? In 1963, he forced Prime Minister Ben Guirion to admit the Dimona was not a textile plant, as the sign outside proclaimed, but a nuclear plant. The Prime Minister said, ‘The nuclear reactor is only for peace.’
“Kennedy insisted on an open internal inspection. He wrote letters demanding that Ben Guirion open up the Dimona for inspection. The French were responsible for the actual building of the Dimona. The Germans gave the money; they were feeling guilty for the Holocaust, and tried to pay their way out. Everything inside was written in French, when I was there, almost twenty years ago. Back then, the Dimona descended seven floors underground.
In 1955, Perez and Guirion met with the French to agree they would get a nuclear reactor if they fought against Egypt to control the Sinai and Suez Canal. That was the war of 1956. Eisenhower demanded that Israel leave the Sinai, but the reactor plant deal continued on.
“When Johnson became president, he made an agreement with Israel that two senators would come every year to inspect. Before the senators would visit, the Israelis would build a wall to block the underground elevators and stairways. From 1963 to ’69, the senators came, but they never knew about the wall that hid the rest of the Dimona from them. Nixon stopped the inspections and agreed to ignore the situation. As a result, Israel increased production. In 1986, there were over two hundred bombs. Today, they may have enough plutonium for ten bombs a year.”
In 2007, the Nixon library declassified a 19 July 1969, memo from Henry Kissinger, the then national security adviser stating: “While we might ideally like to halt actual Israeli possession, what we really want at a minimum may be just to keep Israeli possession from becoming an established international fact.”
The “established international facts” were exposed in 1986, when Mordechai Vanunu told the truth and provided the photographic proof of Israel’s seven story underground WMD Facility that can be viewed on his You Tube Channel:
In 1961, President John F. Kennedy warned US:
“Every man, woman and child lives under a nuclear sword of Damocles, hanging by the slenderest of threads, capable of being cut at any moment by accident, or miscalculation, or by madness. The weapons of war must be abolished before they abolish us.”
Also in the 1960’s the comic strip Pogo nailed US: “We have seen the enemy and he is US!”
Shortly thereafter George Harrison blew the lid off:

Thomas Merton also challenged so called Christian when he wrote words that mean EVERYTHING to this struggling Christian Anarchist Buddhist with a dose of dervish:
“The duty of the Christian at this time is to do the one task God has imposed upon us in this world today. The task is to work for the total abolition of war. There can be no question that unless war is abolished; the world will remain constantly in a state of madness. The church [meaning all Christians] must lead the way on the road to the abolition of war. Peace is to be preached and nonviolence is to be explained and practiced.”
I pray May God Bless Everyone and Have Mercy on the USA!
I also pray that Vanunu’s 2012 Hiroshima Message will have wings and FREEDOM from Israel will soon be reality for him.
In an email from 30 July 2012, Vanunu wrote:
HERE IS MY 2012 Message.
From Hiroshima to Fukushima,
My Hiroshima message in 2012 is: Only after Hiroshima, Fukushima, Japan and the rest of the world are wild awake, and acting very decisively against the danger of atomic weapons, and now also ending nuclear energy.
It was not enough for Japan and Germany to see the disaster of Hiroshima, they needed also to see the catastrophe of Fukushima accident.
The Hiroshima tragedy was a catastrophe which brought to the world the birth of atomic weapons. This nuclear test on human beings and a city of civilians did not teach the world to stop all the nuclear production. Rather the opposite: the super powers and other small states like Israel moved to produce and engaged in NWs production, proliferation.
At the same time, this Hiroshima catastrophe was a big obstacle to any use of any atomic bombs, during all the cold war. Hiroshima photos of all the victims were in the mind and that kept all the world wild awake during all the cold war, to prevent any use of nuclear weapons again. And it has never been used again.
The end of the cold war sent all the world free from the fear of nuclear war. But the world is still in danger of some small states, like here in the Middle East who can use the Bombs. Also, the world has still many nuclear bombs, and we want all the world free from any nuclear bombs.
States like Japan, Germany, Canada, France and others did not realized the danger of nuclear actives, and moved in full speed to build many nuclear reactors for energy.
The Chernobyl accident was not enough to wake up all the world to end nuclear energy.
So the world needed a new catastrophe in Japan to wake up all the Japanese people and the rest of the world, from that dangers of nuclear accident and the danger of all the materials that had been produced from the use of nuclear energy. The catastrophe of Fukushima send the world to demand freedom also from any use of nuclear energy.
So my 2012 Hiroshima, Fukushima Message is:
End all nuclear weapons in the world including the Middle East, also in Israel. What Israel wants for itself all the M E. want. End Nuclear weapons everywhere including in Israel. Dimona or all the M E.will have Nuclear weapons exactly like in Dimona.
The second message of Fukushima from Japan is that a very Industrial state like Japan can work and produce without any Nuclear Energy.
All the world can be free from Nuclear weapons, and also from Nuclear Energy. 100 years ago the world was hungry for new Energy, and was running very fast to adopt all kind of nuclear energy. Now after 100 years the world has had enough from nuclear energy, and the world learn to work and survive without any use of nuclear energy.
So 2012 from Japan to all the world End Nuclear Energy, and all the Atomic Bombs .Freedom to every one freedom Now,!!!!!!.

3. Judge Weeramantry, “The Trident and International Law, Scotland’s Obligations” Feb. 3, 2009.
During his visit to Israel, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney raised eyebrows by offering an explanation for why, in his opinion, the Israeli economy is doing better than the Palestinian. Basically, in so many words, it comes down to culture. Israel and the Jews have a superior culture to that of Palestine and the Palestinians, Romney seems to feel.
“As you come here and you see the [Gross Domestic Product] per capita, for instance, in Israel which is about $21,000, and compare that with the GDP per capita just across the areas managed by the Palestinian authority, which is more like $10,000 per capita, you notice such a dramatically stark difference in economic vitality,” he said.
“Culture makes all the difference. Culture makes all the difference,” he added. “And as I come here and I look out over this city and consider the accomplishments of the people of this nation, I recognize the power of at least culture and a few other things.”
Most commenters on this story have pointed out the obvious—which of course is that the Israeli occupation, not culture, accounts for why the Palestinian economy lags behind Israel’s—and many have taken Romney to task over what apparently they view as off-the-cuff, ill-considered remarks. Even the staunchly pro-Israel Washington Post could not (at least at first*) seem to resist panning the candidate:
In his comments on “culture,” Romney did not mention that Israel controls crossings to both Palestinian areas. Israel has imposed a blockade on its boundary with Gaza since the Islamic militant group Hamas took over there in 2007. In the West Bank, Israel continues to restrict Palestinian trade and movement.
Both the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have said that the removal of such restrictions is necessary to allow Palestinian economic growth.
The same story even goes on to include a quote from Palestinian Authority spokesperson Saeb Erekat, who denounced the former Massachusetts governor’s remarks as “racist.”
“All I can say is that this man needs a lot of education. He doesn’t know the region, he doesn’t know Israelis, he doesn’t know Palestinians, and to talk about the Palestinians as an inferior culture is really a racist statement,” Erekat said.
Erekat is justified in drawing the conclusion he draws. There do seem to be some racial overtones in the remarks. The question we might ask ourselves is this: Were Romney’s comments simply careless and ill-considered, as apparently a lot of people feel…or does he truly believe Jewish culture is superior? It’s a question American voters might want to ponder long and hard before going to the polls in November.
The setting for the talk was a Monday morning Jerusalem breakfast fundraiser at which some of the candidate’s biggest contributors were present, so we can naturally assume he was deliberately trying to score points with the affluent audience. Moreover, his views on the role played by “culture” in determining a country’s economic prosperity were derived, he said, from a book entitled The Wealth and Poverty of Nations, by David Landes.
But the Wall Street Journal, in its own report on the contretemps, supplies us with a quote from another book—No Apology, written by Romney himself.
“How could Israelis have created a highly developed, technology-based economy while their Palestinian neighbors have not yet even begun to move to an industrialized economy?” Romney wrote.
And there is perhaps yet another book worth considering as well—the Book of Mormon. The latter relates a narrative under which the Americas were settled and colonized by four main groups of people. One of the groups, the Jaredites, is pre-Abrahamic. However, the other three—the Nephites, Lamanites, and Mulekites—are all descended from Israelites who allegedly sailed to the New World around the time of the Babylonian conquest to set up a new civilization here. As the Book of Mormon relates, the different tribes did not always get along, and sometimes they fought wars with each other, but their shared Hebrew ancestry is clearly stated. What for me is most striking is how little Native Americans figure into the story in any significant way.
I am of course not an expert on Mormon theology, and I want to be clear on something else as well—that I do not intend any of this as a criticism of the Mormon faith. A few years ago when a tornado struck the town I live in, some Mormons in our community got heavily involved in the disaster relief effort, and I have nothing but respect for them. But there does seem to be a high esteem for Jewish culture—at least in some of the faith’s adherents.
Of course what we have here simply are factors—all worth considering, all worth keeping in mind, as we try to make sense of Mitt Romney and just exactly what he means when he says, “Culture makes all the difference.”
And one other thing worth considering is Romney’s declaration of recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital—an issue that is discussed here in an article by former Israeli Roy Tov. Israel in 1980 declared Jerusalem its “undivided” capital, but this has failed to win international recognition, a failure underscored by the fact that even America, to this day, maintains its embassy in Tel Aviv. Tov says Romney’s declaring of Jerusalem as the capital was the “gold” the Israelis were looking for, and he believes formal recognition, should Romney be elected, will foster a “construction boom” in Jerusalem leading ultimately to that which religious Jews have long awaited:
Jerusalem considered as a major issue by the recognition-thirsty Zionist administration. After all, what kind of country is one unable to get its capital city recognized? Such American recognition would be followed by a few other countries and lead to a construction boom in Jerusalem, strengthening the Israeli annexation efforts on the eastern part of the city…Stone by stone, Israel is eating Jerusalem. Some stones are difficult to cut, demanding sharp knives produced only by overseas friends. Romney is preparing such a sharp knife. If he wins and Israel gets Jerusalem recognized as its capital, a key step towards Israel’s digestion of Jerusalem would have taken place. The construction of a Third Temple on the place now occupied by al-Aqsa would be closer than ever.
As I have noted before, the teachings of Christ and the teachings of the Talmud are polar opposites. What will it mean if al-Aqsa is torn down and a Talmudic temple built in its place?
Will Romney’s fealty and obedience to Israel surpass even that of previous presidents should he emerge victorious in November? In him, has the Israeli Lobby found the ultimate puppet/slave it has long sought to install in the White House? Or do they already have that in Obama? The choices in this year’s election are truly bleak.
* The article in the Washington Post, quoted above, underwent some editing between the time I accessed it on Monday and the time I returned on Tuesday. The quote from Saeb Erekat referring to Romney’s comments as “racist” had been eliminated entirely, while the information supplied about Israeli control over Gaza and the West Bank had been toned down slightly. In addition, the story now mentions an endorsement of Romney by former Polish President Lech Walesa.
