Dedicated to Brother Khader Adnan – Where 1 passes, 1000 will pick up – Justice For Palestine
I do not understand the French language, but I understand the meaning of this music video all too clearly. It seemed more than fitting to share it with brother Khader Adnan in mind. Brother Khader is refusing to accept the unacceptable, detained without charge by Israel, like so many others, with no human rights to speak of. I have met countless Palestinian prisoners while in the West Bank and Gaza, each and every one of them was tortured by the Israelis. America is no better, with Guantanamo, Bagram, Abu Ghraib and many others, fellow human beings rot away in dungeons and we have the nerve to call ourselves ‘civilised’. We are barbarians, all of us, for allowing our traitorous governments to effect this ongoing mass torture. We have not done all that we can do and thus we are all, to one degree or another, collectively guilty.
Brother Khader, Like so many before you, and surely many more to come, between death with honour or life without it, you have chosen the former. Nothing but love and respect to you my brother, and to all the brothers and sisters of this world who refuse to accept the unacceptable, who resist the tyrants and their minions, who live and die with honour. There will be justice. TJP
Anisa Abd el Fattah is running for President of the United States. But you should also be aware that this is not just a run for the presidency. This is a rebellion, an American uprising, or what we call a Peaceful Intifada!
The campaign is essentially calling an ASSEMBLY. Its objective is to use Anisa’s presidential campaign as a platform to launch a real movement to change America. We don’t just want the President’s office, we want to use the president’s office as a staging ground for our uprising against the elite and shadow powers that are destroying our country. Where the Occupy movement ends, this campaign begins ! Where the Presidential election ends, this movement begins. We don’t want an imperial presidency in the United States.. We want people power, not presidential power ! Down with the King, up with a constitution of, for, and by the people!.
In this movement every vote is a protest against the establishment control of the election process! Your vote is more than just a vote for a candidate. Your vote is a commitment to join us, presidential election or not. Bring your resources and dedication, and help us create a real rebellion. It’s not going to be done with one candidate for president. It’s going to be done with our collective political will, which is a power that cannot be defeated!
Anisa is not just a candidate. She’s a woman. She’s African American. And she’s Muslim. She is a symbol of real defiance, and she is inviting you to join her along with me. Here is what we are going to do:
Collectively, we’re going to challenge and take down NDAA by whatever means is possible. We’re going to stop it in its tracks, election or no election !.
We’re going to insist that AIPAC be run out of town !.
We’re going to demand that India get out of Kashmir and leave Pakistan alone, end the rapes, end the disappearances, the beatings, the torture, and we’re going to end trade with them until they do. If America is going to shine a light again, it must be the light of dignity and respect for human life and it’s inalienable sovereignty. We must demand it in ourselves, and we must demand it of others. We will not countenance degradation and such depravity witnessed here.
We’re going to demand that Israel get out of the Occupied Territories and leave the Palestinians in peace, and we’re going to end trade with them until they do.
We’re going to end collaboration with Israel, end the bullying, end the occupation of Palestinian land, end the theft of land, and restore balance and sovereignty to the Middle East. We will tolerate this no more.
We want an end to derivative trading. We want to close the Fed.
We’re going to work to End Citizen’s United, begin public funding of elections, and make illegal any form of lobbying that undermines the democratic process.
We want a Constitutional Amendment to permit direct voting on all laws. We don’t need two-faced representatives selling our vote to the highest bidder.
We want to end SOA (School of Americas)
End 1984. End the use of drones over American airspace for surveillance or for any other purpose.
End use of drones over Pakistan, Yemen and other countries where they are deployed.
End the wars
End all pretense of a “War on Terror.”
And we want a non-profit option to provide health care for every American!
We need to rebuild America’s infrastructure with jobs through community and state work programs that are paid for with municipal bonds that can be sold to both domestic and international investors.
IT’S TIME TO RISE UP NOW! REBEL AGAINST THE ESTABLISHMENT! WE MUST RISE UP AND TAKE A STAND!.
Register on our site.
VOLUNTEER NOW and help this campaign. We need you RIGHT NOW!!!!

A tragic bus crash this morning near Ramallah in Palestine left up to nine children and a teacher dead. The bus crashed into a lorry on the Jaba road, the resulting fire on the bus injured many more children.
The death of children is always tragic and especially in such a horrible way, however, some Jewish Israelis are actually celebrating those deaths as we can read from posts on this screenshot of the Facebook page of the Walla Israeli news website.
The translation from the Hebrew reads as follows:-
Benny: Calm down, they are Palestinian children.
Tali: It seems like they are Palestinian children.. Thank God..
Tal: Thank God they are Palestinians
Ajala: Great, less terrorists!!!!
Eliya: Only Palestinian children were injured – about ten.
Itai: Thank God its Palestinians, let it be such bus every day.
Aleyah: calm down, Its a bus with Palestinian children, lets pray there will be deaths, or at least severe injuries, this is great news to start the day with.
End of translation.
Please note each one of the racist and hateful comments.
I understand that these hateful comments have now been removed from Facebook and also some people have posted comments saying they were horrified at the racism exposed.
An interesting aside is the B.B.C. version of the story, which mentioned that although the truck that hit the bus had Israeli number plates, the driver may not have been Israeli. The B.B.C. no doubt would be afraid of implying any such thing for fear of falling victim to claims of anti Semitism. At the time of writing this the story has been updated to point out that the driver was in fact an Israeli Arab. I wonder when we ever found it necessary anywhere else to wonder or comment on the nationality or ethnicity of drivers involved in crashes?
To view what was making the Jewish Israelis rejoice you can watch the following, the more harrowing scenes have been pixelated but it still very upsetting.
Surah 3 verse 20
If good befalls you, it grieves them, and if an evil afflicts you, they rejoice at it; and if you are patient and guard yourselves, their scheme will not injure you in any way; surely Allah comprehends what they do.
There are different levels of Zionist terrorism, some of which makes the mainstream media news. This ranges from massacres in Gaza and Lebanon to imprisonment of Palestinians – the list could go on and on.
Perhaps less well understood is the reign of terror they perpetuate here in the U.K. and assuredly in Europe and other Western countries too. I have written often before about their campaigns of harassment. As recently as yesterday I wrote of their campaign to prevent people whom they do not like from speaking in universities and mosques.
The most common tactic used to bully event-organisers into cancelling events is to flood the venue-provider with e.mails and phone calls making allegations of anti Semitism, hate preaching, holocaust denying (not illegal here) – until the organiser feels enough concern to cancel the event. I have heard that these campaigns can be very well co-ordinated and battalions of pro-Israel supporters can be alerted internationally to respond and get on the case immediately. The B.B.C. has long since buckled under Zionist pressure and has become so afraid of upsetting Zionists that it now includes whatever B.I.C.O.M. and other pro Israel lobby groups tell it to. The Guardian newspaper is also under constant scrutiny from C.I.F. watch.
One assumes that bombarding institutions with e.mails is within the law, however, I read one comment this morning on Islamophobic Award Winning blog Harry’s Place which made me wonder what the laws against harassment would allow. The comment is in response to an article titled “Guardian Pushes Bizarre Conspiracy Theories About Iran-Israel Attacks” and reads as follows :-
Cipriano 16 February 2012, 9:29 am
That’s true, cjcjc, but that people like this are operating at this level at universities and the media is still frightening. Time for a full-strength campaign to discredit SOAS and put the frighteners on its administration, if you ask me.
Whilst the above comment may well be sufficiently vague as to make it non-actionable, I do believe that it is very revealing. Firstly, it is an acknowledgement that the people involved in posting know very well the power that they have to potentially frighten an institution such as S.O.A.S. and secondly it is an open admission of their bullying campaign tactics and the extent that they can go to “frighten”.
Surely it is time that someone wrote a guide to provide self-help tips for those who are victims of Zionist bullying tactics.
Surah 59 verse 13
You are certainly greater in being feared in their hearts than Allah; that is because they are a people who do not understand
Following a motion adopted at Palestine Solidarity Campaign’s Extraordinary General Meeting on the evening of 7th April 2013 (Yom HaShoah), an Ethics Sub-Committee has been established composed of the following six members: Toni Grimmstein (Chair), Stephen Cohen, Simon Gold, Rick Silverman, Zeb Horowitz and Aaron Levin. The Sub-Committee is charged with ensuring that PSC remains an anti-racist organisation.
This memorandum includes (a) a summary of the events leading up to the EGM, (b) the measures proposed by the Sub-Committee, and (c) a diagram (attached as a PDF) to assist the screening of applicants for membership of PSC.
(a) A summary of the events leading to the calling of an EGM
Toni Grimmstein had called for the EGM, and explained her reasons at the meeting as follows.
“Following the expulsion of Frances Lowes-Clarke in 2011, he exercised his right of appeal at the 2012 AGM. We never should have included a right of appeal for racists in our constitution because it gave Lowes-Clarke an opportunity to harangue delegates for five minutes with his anti-Semitic filth. That the right of appeal was not removed at that AGM is a matter for profound regret, happily rectified at our AGM last January. But this was too late to prevent another five appeal speeches, all equally obnoxious, being heard at that meeting. Of course, the decision to expel was upheld in all cases, but the process of hearing appeals was undoubtedly damaging to our movement, and some deluded people may have been persuaded of the arguments they heard from appellants.
There was, however, one helpful consequence of this shot in the foot, and that was the revelation that a substantial minority of our membership are racist. 20% voted for Lowes-Clarke in 2012 (although most of those were Stalinists), and between 15% and 30% voted in the cases before us earlier this year. It thus became abundantly clear that we have work to do in ensuring that racism, anti-Semitism and Holocaust Denial have no place within our movement.
To this end I move that an Ethics Sub-Committee be established …”
(b) Measures proposed by the Ethics Sub-Committee
- A programme to screen for racism all written and oral material in the public domain. In particular attention will be paid to articles, books and oral material where the words Jew, Jewish, Jewishness, Jewess, Holocaust denial and revisionism are mentioned. A list of racist authors/speakers will be compiled.
- Any members found to be on the list of racist writers/speakers should immediately be expelled from both his/her branch and from the national organisation. Branches will be duty-bound to report any incidents of racism, and to provide documentary evidence of it. This duty should override any undertakings of confidentiality within branches.
- Applications for membership should be checked against the list of racist writers/speakers, and if they are found to be on it, their application should be refused.
- This is not a sufficient precaution, however. There is a need for a rigorous screening process of application because once racists have been admitted to membership they can cause a great deal of damage to our reputation. To this end we have drawn up a questionnaire, with the diagram below to aid the assessment of responses. The Ethics Committee must endorse all applications before a new member is admitted.
- If the responses given to items on the questionnaire by members admitted to membership prove subsequently to be false, their membership will immediately be recinded.

A few comments on recent Norman Finkelstein interview with Frank Barat.
Finkelstein has recently bought himself a few enemies within the Palestinian solidarity movement for openly and enthusiastically advocating the Two States Solution. In the last interview it seems as if Finkelstein defends Israel’s right to exist.
From an academic point of view, Finkelstein has a point. He argues that in order to win we have to operate within the parameters set by international law. However, some points should be made here.
It is far from being clear who sets the parameters of international law. Is it really the international community? Or is it just a few powerful Western countries looking to their own particular expansionist interests.
- It is also far from being clear whether the international law is either ethically or sensible. Is it ethical to let the Jewish State celebrate its exceptional symptoms at the expense of the indigenous people of the land i.e. the Palestinians? Is it sensible to maintain an aggressive, expansionist, racist, and exclusivist, nuclear Jewish State in the Middle East? Is it safe? Is it good for world peace?
- It is far from being transparently obvious to me why an American Jewish academic or any other Western solidarity activist should have a say about the way or manner in which Palestinians should live on their land. I, for instance, have never come across a Palestinian academic preaching at Britain to divide its island by resurrecting the wall at the Scottish border. The meaning of it is simple, there is something fundamentally pretentious in the solidarity discourse and in the resolution discourse in particular. We, for some reason, like to tell others what is right or wrong.
- Do we need to discuss resolution for the conflict? Israel is already a one State, it has a single electric grid, one sewage system, one international pre dial number. Yet Israel is dominated politically by an oppressive and racially exclusive Jewish political philosophy. This has to be changed and it will be changed by means of resistance with our solidarity or without it.
- Yet, Finkelstein’s criticism of the solidarity movement is largely valid. The recent expulsion of Palestinians and academics from the UK PSC, proves that we aren’t just dealing with a ‘cult’ discourse as Finkelstein suggests, far worse, we are actually dealing with a rabbinical operation that exercises the most repulsive Judaic excommunication tactics.
- Finkelstein is correct when he suggests that the achievements of the solidarity ‘cult’ operations are pretty limited. However, he may fail to realise that solidarity with the Palestinians doesn’t end in the West, in NYC, London or Paris. The recent political triumph of Muslim parties in the region is fuelled by Hamas and Hezbollah victories. It is more than likely, that the Palestinians and the Arabs will liberate themselves.
- Unlike Finkelstein, I believe that the solidarity movement is already a mass movement. More and more people out there grasp that the continuum between Israel, AIPAC and the Conservative Friends of Israel (CFI) is the biggest threat to world peace. More and more Brits are astonished to find out that all the British political parties are controlled by the Israel Lobby (Friends of Israel) – CFI, LFI, & LDFI. How many British politicians are as friendly with Hartlepool or Penzance? More and more Brits and Americans grasp that their politicians are for sale. They realise that on the Israeli shopping list, a Western politician comes out much cheaper than a tank. More and more Brits and Americans have come to realise that, in this crucial battle for elementary freedom, ‘We are all Palestinians.’
On March 24, Canada’s New Democratic Party will do more than elect a new leader; it will face a test of character.
As it stands, the NDP is the only major national party not led by an avowed zionist. Stephen Harper leads a cabal of governing “Likudniks,” who value subservience to Israel above all else, and the interim leader of the “Labour-Zionist” Liberals, Bob Rae, is on the board of the Jewish National Fund, an organization so criminal that it has been condemned in Israel as racist.
The NDP, therefore, is the only apparently Canadian governing choice that voters have, but even this modest fig leaf will be blown away if the blatant Israel-firster Thomas Mulcair becomes party leader.
On May 1, 2008, he told Canadian Jewish News: “I am an ardent supporter of Israel in all situations and in all circumstances.” [my emphasis]
Does Mulcair mean to say that he “ardently supports” Israel’s collective punishment of Palestinians, which includes torturing children, bulldozing homes, and keeping Palestinians near starvation levels as a matter of national policy? Do these constitute morally defensible “situations and circumstances?” Based on his abject endorsement of Israel, the answer is clearly, “yes.” The fact that all of the preceding are contrary to Canadian and international law, to say nothing of basic humanity, doesn’t faze Mulcair one bit. What a mensch!
How this walking advertisement for sedition found a home in a left-of-centre, social-democratic party is bizarre. The NDP, after all, still cleaves to the quaint notions that the federal government should defend the Constitution, uphold the rule of law, oppose military aggression, stand up for victims of human rights abuses, and generally serve the public good. Such high-minded ethical standards clearly distinguish it from both “Likud” and “Labour,” which are financially and politically indentured to the Israel Lobby.
So, why would the NDP even allow someone like Mulcair in the front door? This question takes on added significance when we recall that Mulcair had first considered joining Harper’s Likudniks, and was even said to have been tempted by a cabinet appointment. That would at least have made sense. When questioned last July about the earlier offer, though, the NDP’s newly minted interim leader Nycole Turmel seemed curiously unconcerned: “[Mulcair] was contacted by a number of people, a number of political parties and he chose to come work with us. He chose the NDP and I’m proud of that. He’s a great candidate.”
When looked at a bit more closely, however, Turmel’s praise for this crypto-Likudnik comes across more as a perfunctory platitude than a genuine endorsement; in this case the riding, not the MP, is the prize.
Mulcair represents Outremont, a small, wealthy riding on the Island of Montreal, which he won in a 2007 by-election, thus making him the NDP’s (ta-da!) first MP from Quebec to go on to win in a general election. Outremont has a substantial Jewish population, more than 20%; in the larger Labour riding of Mount Royal just to the south, represented by Israel-firster extraordinaire Irwin Cotler, it is 36%. If the NDP expects to make inroads into Quebec it is logical for it to compete for the Jewish vote, but how far is the NDP prepared to go to mortgage its principles for electoral advantage?
As party leader, Mulcair would be expected to protect his caucus colleagues from harassment and abuse from other parties, but in 2010 he sided with Labour and Likud to call for the resignation of fellow MP Libby Davies as NDP House Leader. Davies’s “crime” was to state that Israel’s occupation of Palestine began in 1948, not 1967. Her statement is a fact supported by historical documents that include admissions from leading political and military Israelis like David Ben Gurion and Gen. Moshe Dayan.
Mulcair’s contemptible attack on Davies’s basic freedom of expression, to say nothing of historical honesty, showed Mulcair’s true allegiance, and the threat he poses to this country. It doesn’t matter if he believes the zionist bilge he spews or whether he’s merely pandering to the Jewish community. By rights, he should be have been expelled from the party for his misconduct.
If you are reading this and are a member of the federal NDP who plans to cast a vote at the leadership convention, ask yourself these questions before you vote:
1) Can Mulcair be trusted to put loyalty to Canada and the NDP ahead of his loyalty to Israel?
2) Would Mulcair stifle his MPs’ freedom of expression in the name of being an “ardent supporter”of Israel?
3) Would Mulcair’s overt zionism irreparably debase the NDP’s reputation as a party of law and justice?
If you answered 1) no; 2) yes; and 3) yes, then you can proudly claim to be a member in good standing of a national, Canadian political party. You know what not to do on March 24. No matter how much you may like Mulcair’s position on the environment or any other issue, anyone who bullies his own people, betrays his party’s principles, and sells out his country is unfit to lead the NDP, much less sit in the House of Commons.
As I said earlier, the NDP appears to many voters to be the only viable Canadian governing option left in this country. Don’t force them into a no-win scenario among Likud, Labour and Meretz!
Khader Adnan is starting his 61st day of hunger strike today in protest at his imprisonment under so called “administrative detention” in Israel. No charges have been made against Khader Adnan and despite his state of extreme weakness he is kept chained to his bed.
Adnan, whom Israel says is a member of Islamic Jihad, was given a four month “administrative detention” order by the Israeli military – meaning that he is held without being charged for any crime or trial, a practice continued by Israel that dates back to British colonial days.
More shame on we British as our colonialist past is responsible for so much misery in Palestine.
Khader Adnan has reached the very limit of what the body can take and most hunger strikers organs shut down and they die around the 59th day. We need to highlight this case and contact our M.P.s as a matter of great urgency.
There are over 300 other Palestinians in prison in Israel under “administrative detention” according to Amnesty International.
[Shakir 9:52] Say: Do you await for us but one of two most excellent things? And we await for you that Allah will afflict you with punishment from Himself or by our hands. So wait; we too will wait with you.
